  • Hi,

I was wondering if any one wouldn't mind being tagged as friends when I enter some twitter competitions.

Sadly I don't know anyone on twitter to tag :(

    Morning all,

It is blowing a gale here - been pretty wet too. Usually head off on a Sunday when we are going away so seems strange not to be going until tomorrow. Haven't started to pack yet anyway. Been relaxing after all the celebrations and visits we have had since Xmas.
Must admit the dog poo thing drives me mad too. It is a problem in our town and you know it is the same few dogs being allowed to mess on the pavements.

We use loads of garlic in our food but don't think I could eat its on its own. Think it has helped lower DHs blood pressure though and we haven't really had the cold this winter so fingers crossed.
DH making some porridge so must go and eat it.
    Good luck all

tried an cat image but didn’t work.

Lo at you talking to your cat too Alfie. Last time I called in neighbour her dog came to the door but with only two barks. There’s a glass in the door so she could see me. She wagged her tail once then turned around and went off into the front room. Well I thought that’s it neighbour is out.

Morning dull but not so cold here this morning.

We managed to go out for some groceries yesterday and I was glad to be back home. Throat still a bit sore but nose stayed dry. Thanks for the link Alfie re ancient remedies not nice at all. Like FireFly glad not to live then. Had forgotten all about the dirt and filth. Although when we go across BlackHeath that should be a reminder of how deseases spread quickly.

    Have a good day everyone.

    :hello: Afternoon all

It's a mild but fairly windy day here, sun's trying to come out
but it's struggling with the clouds! :p

I agree fire**fly/sheils about the dog poop. Yuk! _pale_ What is
wrong with people, it only takes a second to bag it up & either
bin it or dispose of it at home. And as for being unfortunate
enough to actually step in it _pale_ ....... smileys-ill-696288.gif

I can remember years ago, (when out walking in the forest with
DD & little C Spaniel) having a 'heated' discussion with another
dog walker (who just happened to be passing while I was
clearing up after my dog). He actually had the cheek to say he
didn't know why I bothered to do it  as he'd never cleaned
up after his dogs & that he always left it to decompose!!! Well,
I really gave him what for (verbally) & he just walked away
laughing. I'm afraid there's not a lot you can do with
    someone that ignorant! :wall:

Anyhow, I printed off quite a few of the leaflets yesterday
evening. Thankfully the forest was pretty deserted this morning
(went early) so I managed to sneak around & put a few up on
some of the gates. :D :j

Re the 'Folk Remedies' link - I would have hated to live then!
:rotfl::rotfl: Some of the remedies sounded really gruesome!!

Hope your sore throat gets better soon leanfun. xx Thankfully
(& frantically touching wood :p), I seem to be staying one step
ahead of all the nasty germs doing the rounds. In fact I've
kept fairly healthy for the last few years (I instantly regret
saying that now, fingers n' paws crossed I don't go
down with some sort of lurgy)!! :D

Have a lovely relaxing Sunday all, take care.

    telling you she was ok,
glad you got home safe yesterday after grocery shopping &
hope the sore throat gets better soon ((hugs))
I do find gargling with lemon juice & warm water
a help when I've got one for a bit of relief iih x

Thanks all I feel much better now but didn’t venture out today.

Hope wind has calmed down Sheils and Firefly. Saw a plane couldn’t land at Leeds this afternoon due to wind and diverted to Liverpool.

Sheils hope you have a good journey tomorrow.

Picturing you going round with the leaflets made me smile Alfie.

    Rose hope you are ok.

Hope everyone has a good evening.

    :hello: Good morning all

Finally the wind seems to have calmed down here, same as you
fire**fly - it was starting to blow a hoolie here yesterday, late
afternoon/early evening. And there was me thinking the early
morning wind would gradually calm down as the day went on!
    No such luck! :p :rotfl:

    ouragan.gif

Think we're in for quite a decent weather day here, fingers
crossed. :D I've got a fairly busy day ahead - got to go out &
get provisions in first thing, then go for a brisk trot around the
forest (hope my poop notices didn't blown away!)

Also, was hoping to get out gardening yesterday but received
an email in the morning to say the Brita water jug that I'd
ordered a few days ago was out for delivery (& would be
arriving between 10.30-9.00. So that scuppered my plans
somewhat! Anyhow the water jug eventually arrived at
5.00pm & very nice it is too. I already owned one (bought by
DD years ago) but the little battery indicator thingy on the top
of the lid had finally given up the ghost so I decided to treat
    myself. :p

So hopefully, I'll get out gardening this afternoon. :D Think
I've got the tree people coming Feb to give the larger trees
    a bit of a trim too. jardin3.gif

Hope you have a lovely few days away sheils, safe journey.

I'm still plodding on re hunting the elusive Hummingbird!
Cannot believe how many hours I'm actually spending,
searching for the little blighter! :p Not doing too badly
    though (for me!) ......

    Up to now I've found:

    1 Koala - 10p
    2 Queen's Guards - 20p
    3 Croissants - £1
    3 Taxis - £5
1 Sushi - Found yesterday (bet I won't be able to find the other
    3 though!). Finding 4 is worth £100!

+ 50 entries into the grand draw - just 7 days remaining

or.gifAlso had three weeny wins on Lotto (2 x £30.00)
    & Thunderball (£5) this January. :j

Have a lovely & lucky Monday all and please take care
    whatever your plans.
