Morning all. Yes cold here but we are understanding this hive which controls the heating more. When it’s really cold the house seems to warm up and retain the heat better. So it’s been warm thanks Sheils. Hoe you had a good journey home.

Yesterday had the news that a 94 year old friend has died. She has been ill for a long time and moved to away from us to be with her daughter six years ago. Fortunately I was able to speak to her on the phone ten days ago. We have happy memories of the good times we had together.

Hope everyone is well and keeping warm. Take care.

Morning, it was raining here earlier so not as cold as yesterday.Sorry to hear about your friend leanfun, but lovely you spoke to her not long ago.
Went to hospital with DS this morning and he had a ECG and echo test and his heart is ok. After talking to the Dr he said his bloods are ok, and his weight is fine so we don't know what it is.But it has put our minds at rest for now.Just popped into Maccy D's on way home as a treat. Hope you all have a lucky day.

Morning cold here this morning. Lo Sheils you too have the heating problem. With old boiler we were always just right.

Indie so pleased to hear most of the major tests were ok for your DS but although that is a big relief it’s still a case of trying to find what’s wrong.
Don’t know Macy d’s our way but pleased you had a treat.

Alfie hope you are ok. We had major problems with WiFi yesterday kept going off.

Feel like hibernating but we are picking GS up this evening from child minders.

They are turning Black Friday into a black week so loads of emails.

Take care everyone and good luck.
  • Oh lean Im so sorry for your loss it must have been fate you managed to speak to her before she passed x
Indie glad all went well Ds tests, what a worry though x
Freezing here and hubby has gone out in all his thermals (works in an large unheated open fronted garage kwikfit) All he can do is pop off every 20 mins or so to the canteen and warm up, he recons it's warmer when it snows (I guess it's an insulator isn't it)
Poor chap who moved in next door you can tell he has no heating on , he's demolishing in inside of the house , it was in a poor state . He is a really charming young man so we often pop a cuppa around and have a chat. Ill see if he needs my electric heater i think later.
We are moving! I can't stand living in this road anymore, the neighbours are fighting with each other, crime rate has risen drastically, and my nerves are shot , panic attacks are back. So we are moving back in with mum as she loves us enough to allow that (plus she is lonely being 40 minutes from any family) Then we are moving near her and fil , who sadly is elderly and now has cancer , Thankfully its not aggressive , I love that man to bits! So all change onwards and upwards, We are looking at Headcorn/Biddenden area (very rural again)

Some fab wins, a fire 7 tablet (I have no idea what that is but it's a nice tablet) a very expensive hotel chocolate advent calender and a trial camera/video , Its one of those action cameras , son has been after one for ages. Lucky all these wins just had to pay £400 because my internal wall has fallen down , and "it's wear and tear" 125 year old house, wonders what else insurance doesn't cover!

Anyway have a smashing day chat soon x

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok. Apologies for absence, I've been incredibly
busy these last few days. Just about managing to keep up
with comps, yet had big problems with little lappy! I've been
getting messages on the screen that it couldn't connect to
this site and that there was no internet, when clearly there
was! I've been keeping up with all your news though. :D

I hope it'll keep going for a while yet. I use my iPad for
entering comps but much prefer to use little lappy for these
type of posts. I just love adding images etc to each post, (as
you've probably realised :p) and have yet to work out how to
do it from my iPad. Don't really have the time at the mo!

It's been fairly brrrrrr down my way for the last few days, but
same as you indie ... thankfully no frost. In fact this morning
it doesn't feel so cold! :j

I'm so sorry to hear about your dear friend leanfun, but
thankful that you were able to speak to her before she
    passed. :A

So pleased to hear that your son got through all the health
checks at the hospital indie - must have been such a relief for
all. Don't blame you for popping in to Maccy D's for a treat
    afterwards!

Hi sheils & leanfun. I agree with you leanfun re Black Friday.
It's driving me nuts, been receiving emails all week, not to
    mention today's offerings! :rotfl::rotfl:

I felt chilly just reading about your poor hubby in his thermals
mummy2. froidbonnet2.gif Brrrrr! Your new neighbour sounds lovely - he must
be very thankful for hot cuppas & friendly chats from you
both. :A Your mum will love having you all to stay with her -
just googled Headcorn/Biddenden - both beautiful places to live.

Very well done on all your wonderful wins too - absolutely
    brilliant prizes! :T :j :D

Well must get on, another busy day ahead - no rest for the
    wicked! :p

Have a lovely and lucky day all & please take care whatever
    your plans.

    Morning all,

Woke up early and came down to see which Black Friday hotel deals were live! Only IHG at the moment - quite interested in a few but going to be other hotel deals and their own points break sale coming up on Monday so not booking quite yet. Have already got lots of great bargains booked in January from previous offers.
Supposed to be getting BT Infinity later today. They offered me 18months at same cost as paying now plus free hub etc so went for it. Just hope no break in the service when studying hotels.

Well done on the wins mummy2. DH has a Fire and loves it and it does most things my iPad does although a bit slower.Hope you find somewhere nice to live. I have lived in my house for over 36 years. Had a loft conversion to make a single bedroom and a double ensuite when we had 4 kids living here. Now the house is far too big but can't imagine living anywhere else as nice area and great, similar neighbours.

Must admit I like to use lappy for posting here too Alfie, hope yours has sorted itself out.

Hope your Wifi behaving now leanfun.

Hope you enjoyed your day off andgot washing dry indie.

Had a little Mag Daily win of a dvd series of "Mystery Road". It looks quite good. Had been watching a box set of "Outlander" series 1 and 2 but finished it last week. Have asked Santa for series 3!

Good luck with the comps all and hope you find something you want on the Black Friday deals.

Morning brr here too this morning.

Indie hope you had a good surprise day off.

Thanks everyone re my friend. She was a great age and had been ill a long time. She was the first person I met when we married and moved in here and was like a grandmother to our children as our parents died when they were young.

Like you Sheils we have lived in this house a long time.

Mummy2threeboys it’s a big decision to move but sounds as though it will be a good move for your family. I’ve never been to those places but my friend who just died used to visit there and thought it a great area. Do hope everything goes well for you. Brr to your husband’s work conditions. Well done on wins.

Sheils well done on DVD win not heard of that series. We loved watching Outnumbered they were all very talented. To do the show with only an outline and no full script amazing. Sheils good luck with booking hotels.

Alfie great to see you. Sorry about lappy. I never managed to find out how to do pics on iPad. We had a couple of days with intermittent WiFi but pleased to say after we turned everything off for a bit it was ok yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday I found some fleecy pyjamas for GKs in Scotland half price so I think that will be my lot for Black Friday.

Hope everyone has a good and lucky weekend. Keep warm.

Morning, very dark here this morning, but dry at the moment. Well done on the wins mummy2. Good luck with the move. Like sheils i have lived in my house since the 80's and only a little 2 up/2 down but big enough for my needs. I always wanted a big house up on a hill not far from me but after a few years gave that idea up when realised i would be spending all day, every day cleaning it,lol
.Hope you all have a lucky day
