Been another cold night but frost melting fast in sunshine - lull before the storm though.
Did book 2 February nights in the IHG points sale last night. They were half the points price and would have cost nearly £100 per night but not as good a deal as hoping for as £4 night parking fee. Great deal at Albert Dock Liverpool but no parking there which is a shame so not going there. My deal is at Salford Quays , Manchester (where BBC operates from now) It does look nice there and walkable from The Lowry which I want to see. Never been into Manchester before although have flown from there several times. It can also be cancelled if weather goes against us which is handy.
Decided to sort out lots of paperwork today, everything been done (I hope) but needs putting away or binned.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

:hello: Happy Winds Day all
It's wet & windy here too indie. I managed to get out
first thing for provisions (when it was a bit calmer), & got
caught up in a tailback of traffic due to an earlier horrendous
accident. _pale_ God only knows how it happened but I hope
all involved are going to be ok.
We've had a yellow warning issued for tomorrow too, so may
see what needs doing around the house and also do a few
comps - don't think it'll be a day for venturing far!
So pleased your deep heat prize arrived yesterday indie -
perfect timing.
Well done on latest bargain bookings sheils. Is the Manchester
trip this side of Christmas or afterwards? You're away so much,
I'm finding it hard to keep up!:rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I'd better go & check that everything is still upright in
the garden, particularly the poor old gates!
Have a lovely rest of the day all, please take care and stay
safe.

We are just back from DSs. We took him back on Monday. We met my brother for lunch yesterday and politically put the world to rights as the saying goes. If only it were that simple. Still it was good to see him as we hadn’t met up since earlier in the year.
We had a good drive home with little rain but very grey not too windy.
Hope your gates are intact Alfie.
Indie pleased you have the heat pad just when you need it. Hope it helps.
Sheils once on a journey from Liverpool DH did a bit of detour so we went to the Lowry for a few hours but I too have never been into Manchester.
Great you were able to make some bookings. We were able to get half price for a night to go to my friend’s funeral in Ipswich next month.
Well done Indie on catching up on comps. I seem to be playing catch up all the time now.
Good luck everyone.0 -

Hi all,
Been a dreadful day here - the west coast really getting the worst of the storm. Haven't been outside the house and not sure if we will tomorrow either as it just looks as bad. Friday looks nice though!
We are going to Salford Quays in February Alfie! We sometimes have bother remembering where we are going too. At home until 16th Dec anyway especially as there has been burglaries in area again. Always seems to happen in November.
Well done on the collar win FF.
