Morning, well done on the wins yesterday. I did have a giggle at the thought of your puddy cat playing football with the baubles Alfie.I was at work yesterday and one of the girls was with the 1-1 and i helped her get the lady in and out the shower and said she smelt nice so she said it wasn't her and gave me a purfume bottle which i spayed some on my wrist, her face was a picture as it was room spray lol. Oh well i smelt lovely all day. Going to have a look at advents in a while and see what i want to do and miss out this year. Hope we all have a lucky December.0

Morning,
Forecast for a wet day here again so should get a few comps done.
Managed to sort out a few advents to try. Did see a few nice prizes. I usually start with quite a few and ditch them after a few days when they come up with offers or silly little prizes. Saying that I always do the Spam one, hoping to get a mug or something!
Must get started.
Hope everyone is fine and good luck.

Morning can’t believe we are into December. Sheils love your pic for happy smiles. Made me smile. Yes I too am only going to do a few selected advents.
Alfie I’ve come across a few pics of cats recking Christmas trees. I found the box of new lights from last year and they were so jumbled. I remember opening the box to find them jumbled as they came out and remember throwing them over the tree. Looked ok actually.
Yes, kicker balls are great but last half term GS nearest to us and I went to to the second park we have near us. I’d forgotten how big the grass area is there several football areas and he kept expecting me to kick the ball back.
Rose GS and GD live in Rhu looking out on to the loch. Since they moved there our DS has only been to Helensborough so does not know their immediate area. I managed to send them some half price fleecy pyjamas from Landsend in Black Friday sales. Their mother did send a very smiley picture of the pair in them.
FireFly well done on win. Moomin is a favourite of GKs who are in Scotland. There used to be a shop full of their things in Covent Garden.
Indie did smile over your nice smell. I’m sure they are similar ingredients in the room spray.
Here GS is coming for most of the day. He slept over a Friday night. So better crack on.
Good luck everyone with the advents.0 -
Sheils I have been entering the spam on ..ha ha I need it a Spam fishslice in my life!
Leanfun well done on the footballs and enjoy your gk visit x
Hi to Alfie and Indi and all hope you are well and happy.
Just a quick check in. No wins to report but had some fab ones this year so very happy with them.
Went to work yesterday (Barnardos) Had fun sorting donated clothes , half of them went to rag, looks like someone had just got all their dirty washing including used plasters and bunged them in bags with caked in muddy shoes.
We had the Dickens festival (I live in Rochester) They have a couple of all day parades with activities , everyone dresses up in victorian clothings and also steam punk, (whilst I love the style I'm not sure what it has to do with Victorians??)
I found a knights handmade leather drawstring pouch , I thought I knew who it belonged to , posted on Facebook about it and was right next day , I had 4 knights in armour and King John walk in the shop to collect lost purse. I even manage a kiss on my hand and a bow . Must say the looks on colleagues faces was fun.
Anyway i'm off to tackle the advents. Have a great day all xxxCompers challenge 27/70

Morning.
Mummy2threeboys love you description of the Dickens Festival and your knights coming in. My sister went to the festival a few years ago and I’ve always thought it would be good but have not made it there yet.
Had a good day with GS yesterday. He’s a lot more settled. He didn’t want to go out and spent a long time with his Lego.
Hope everyone is enjoying the advents they do and good luck.0 -
Supposed to be a nice day today so fingers crossed as fed up of the rain.
Never been to Rhu leanfun but been to Helensburgh a few times infact we were there not that long ago. It is a nice little coastal town.
Your festival sounds like what it was like at Whitby when we were there mummy2. Still don't really understand steam punk!
Hope everyone is having fun with the advents and good luck.

:hello: Good morning
Hope you're all in fine fettle on this glorious Tuesday. It's going
to be a beautiful day here, sunny but chilly.Ideal conditions
to get out & give my car a good clean inside & out. It desperately
needs doing, so I'd better make the most of the weather today
because I think we may in for a rainy day tomorrow.
Think I mentioned that I'd be putting up my Christmas tree
over the weekend.:rotfl::rotfl: Well, it didn't quite
go to plan! My 'bargain' tree was a bit like something from
Ikea - a DIY construction pack!
Each branch had to be hooked on individually - which is
quite a few considering it's a 6 footer. So relieved I didn't go
for the next size up! Anyway, I finally finished doing
that part Sunday morning, fluffed them out in the afternoon,
& all was going well. Phew - it actually now resembles the
one on display in the store, much to my relief! :T
Yesterday I put the new lights on but didn't have enough so
had to go & buy another set. Meanwhile Puddy cat was
becoming more & more disgruntled re lack of baubles to biff
& started chewing the ends of the 'naughty' branches!!!
Bet she'll give the baubles a right good bashing once they're
on. Think I'll be doing that tomorrow. She did however love
the empty Xmas tree box. Typical cat! :grinheart
I had to laugh indie re your story about the room spray. I
would have done exactly the same! :rotfl::rotfl:
The Dickens festival sounds great fun mummy2. I was creased
up when you mentioned finding a handmade leather draw-
string pouch, posting about it on facebook & then having four
knights (in armour) plus King John walking into the shop to
claim it! :rotfl::rotfl: Well done you though, brilliant idea
posting about it too - love a successful ending! :T:T
Your GS sounds a lovely, contented boy leanfun. My children
grew up with Lego (& Playmobil) & now granddaughters love
playing with the same too. These toys still remain as popular
as ever. :j :T
Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take whatever your
plans.

Morning, sunny here at the moment.Must be cold out because the dog has rushed out had a wee and come back and got under his blanket, lol. He usually spends 20+ minutes going round garden sniffing to see who has been in there over night, unless it's cold, wet or snow out.Been busy at work the last 2 days, but have a few days off now.Off food shopping later then relaxing this afternoon. Hope you all have a lucky day.0

Morning sunny fine day here too but felt cold earlier. Had to smile at your dog Indie,. I would be back in quick too. Hope you have a restful day off.
Ho ho Alfie Christmas trees. Our in the box Christmas tree sounds like yours. Ours has little stickers and is alphabetically ordered and the branches slot into a pole. I did resist several real tree competitions. I loved the real tree last year but it was just too heavy for us to lift and move. I had to get a neighbour’s son to help us put it in a pot.
Lo to your cat Alfie. She’s going to have great fun. Sounded like the small children having more fun with the boxes and wrapping than the presents.
Sheils I did see you had been to Helensborough. I think from the map Rhu is an extension of it. This time last year I looked up places there to stay but DS was not up for going. The first time he collected the children he met them in Helensborough so he’s not been to Rhu. Looks very scenic from pics of the loch from their windows.
I did enjoy the first day of Advents but was amused yesterday when I looked several times to see if I’d win anything. Just dreaming. Let’s hope someone in here wins something from them.
Big hugs for those needing one.0 -
