They probably want the same account as originally paid for those flights.
Well that was a credit card which I don't have anymore.
We are sorted now, gave bank IBAN number. They say that I will get £355.14 in my account in the next 10 Days. Still no compensation though, but it is a start.
Twin1 and family been and gone. Dgd dispatched for the holiday.
Washing machine on with last few bits and pieces that I want to take with me.
I will have to Potter a bit throughout the evening, but I have to take it easy. As I am all out of energy.
But I must pack! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thanks everyone!
I am coughing, sneezing and look like a replacement for Rudolph.
Had a Chinese takeaway for dinner last night, Will half the second half of it for lunch today! Very little food in now.
I packed a few things, wrapped a few presents. Had a call with the Foster Carers. Apparently the children are going to stay with DS and GF Tomorrow evening until the 27th. There was a few meetings with social and my son etc on Tuesday and Wednesday, and they have been advised that they have extended the period to the end of January. So the children will be going back to the Foster family for a while yet. Support workers have been going in and helping DS/GF and will be popping in unannounced over the next few days to see everything is ok. Foster Carer has to go in and report back what she sees tomorrow.
Apparently as children are still under a section 20, the parents can demand them back and social will have to give them back without notice to the carers. It's all a big mess!
I am off to Mum this afternoon.
Airline has just sent me an email to check in. So will do that when I get to Mum as I will need her Passport number etc.
While I am away Ryanair payment should hit my current account, which is just as well as its down to £6.81
Having tied up my savings in another account, I will be living the frugal life, by choice, when I get home. To build up the emergency pot again.
But Mum has paid for the holiday and I have about 200 Euros to kick start the trip. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I will also be looking to cut spending in the New Year. I do budget for most things and have some savings too (allocated into various "pots" - house repairs/car maintenance/insurances etc.)but I did have to spend a bit on the house this year, as well as the expense of having eldest and partner here for a few months at the start of 2018. I saw my DGCs yesterday - took them to the cinema then for a meal, so that was the best part of £100. They are at the age (12 and a half now) when a run round the park and and ice cream doesn't really suffice but I certainly don't begrudge it as we had such a lovely time, and they are really lovely, and loving, boys - even if they eat like men! Have been looking at food spending for the month. Just topped off today with fruit and veg. etc. for Xmas so comes in at £410 (eek!), although I tend to stock up in December so I don't have to venture out if it is icy. Plus it does include cat food for an elderly, fussy cat. Normal monthly average is £150 - 175 (including said cat food) so plenty of room for saving there and it will help my waistline as well as my bank balance.
I hope you and your mum have a good holiday, and that you find time to switch off and relax. Whatever happens with DS etc. is not your responsibility (although I know how hard it is to switch those feelings off) so let the "professionals" deal with it and hopefully the New Year will see a new start for you all.0 -
Watching rubbish tv. Feet up.
Case packed, unpacked, repacked. And then some taken out for the weight rather then because it was full.
We're going to have good old sausage and chips for tea, and maybe a glass of wine later. I can see me going to bed early ready for tomorrow.
Feels so strange with nothing to do. I keep thinking that I have forgotten something! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
