Sewing, selling, saving to the dream 2019!.

I think FOR the dream sounds better.

The issue is. At some point if the kids are returned there will be a crisis where they can't pay rent or buy food or pay bills and who do you think will be asked to do it?

Do you think it's as simple as just closing your purse when it means kids going without food or having no gas or electricity in the house.

The parents will need to learn how to look after themselves and the kids very soon.

Or they'll have to have a lot of input from social work when the kids are returned.

All the signs right now point to them being no less chaotic than they were when the kids were removed.
  • Mooloo I hope now twin2 has been properly assessed there will be some help and support available although I'm well aware how difficult it can be to get it . My youngest daughter who was diagnosed Aspergers 20 years ago was reassessed at the beginning of this year after a long fight by our GP . As had been long suspected she has a different condition and this year has been lucky to have all the help and support she should have had in her early teens . She's fortunate to have a wonderful GP but I hope your dd will be supported . Just having the validation after years of being told not trying hard enough makes a difference .

Not sure if you're already thinking this but in your shoes I would be phoning the boys case worker tomorrow to get some clarity on why you seem to be the one expected to step in for the carers if the intention is to return the boys . It seems to me SS aren't monitoring closely but relying on you .

Well done on continuing to move the work on . Not long now until your holiday , just a pity you've had so much worry and stress during the lead up to it .

You are doing WHAT? Seriously Mooloo?

I have been aware that I will be having the boys for 4 days, since June when they first left my house and went to the Foster Carers, as they are going to be away from the area at their Sons wedding.
I am fine with that. It's all been arranged for 6 months
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Maybe it was prearranged before she told him no more. I think it was mentioned before.

She's trying and doing her best, she's told him no more help financially and she's sticking to it which must be hard considering her sons got the kids with not very much. She's doing her best.

Sewing, selling, saving to the dream 2019!.

I am doing it for the Boys and the Foster Carers not my Son.
We didn't want them to have to go to another stranger for the 4 days.
It's best to be with family then strangers

My Seamstress is not going to be in work tomorrow or Tuesday. So I am relieved that I stopped taking in big jobs. I will work on the Suit and other wedding clothes tomorrow. I have a fitting that's for the same wedding as the suit. So it will now be up to me to do those. I will be sewing the trousers etc that I brought home yesterday, at some stage this evening, as I currently have dgs4 here while Biggest is at Whittlebury Hall with a very belated birthday meal with her Besties.
I say I am babysitting but actually gadgetry is doing that for me.
Dgd is on the Xbox on the big telly, and Dgs4 is on the PlayStation trying to find dinosaurs on it.
So the two of them are talking to themselves etc and it's quite hilarious.
I've pottered in the kitchen, and just made a cuppa. I am going to get my diary out now, and plan my next steps.
I don't think I will manage any more savings this side of Christmas. So I won't be hitting my target. But that's ok. It was rather ambitious and Ryanair are still refusing to pay me compensation. I will be chasing it all again on Wednesday.
Mum is getting excited about the holidays now, and says she still needs to sort her clothes. I told her that it won't take an hour to pack when I get to her on the Saturday. After I have done my diary etc I will revisit the budget and then think about Christmas things.
We still haven't got any decorations or the tree up etc.
Personally I don't particularly care about the decorations etc but for Dgd it needs to be done.

    The Dream.

When I feel I need a boost or a reminder why I am trying to budget, say NO. Make the business more profitable then I click on the above link and the reason why I do anything is there in front of me.
It is saved to my notes.

So that's where I go in my Dreams.
I look at the information. I look at the location on Google maps and I read other things about the area.
I get out my Duo Lingo and I do half an hour of language practice.

    Making my Dreams Real.
I am working hard to move the needle in favour of my dreams and not in favour of the Adults that are my children.

Making it even more real Mum and I have an appointment to visit the house when we are away on Holidays.

Oh - ok - thought that this was something that had just been dropped on you - a commitment made in June is still a commitment.

It is my Dream. I am going to see it in 3 weeks.
I wish I could have had the 30% deposit in place by then. It would be a better base for finding a possible small mortgage in Portugal. Although it's probably not going to be easy now with Brexit etc.

But it's possible to achieve within a few years if I live frugally and save hard. After I close the shop, and either work from home, or change career and get a regular wage, it should be possible.
Of course this particular place will probably be long gone but while it is still available it is my target.
