Mum is getting excited about the holidays now. She's talking about the packing, and what to wear.
I am beginning to see the wood before the trees, and slowly turning down big jobs before the holidays has helped. I will have jobs in the new year, but for now there are only about 15 jobs left to do. So I am nearly caught up, although personally I'm on my own today and only have today left this week at work, and then 3 1/2 days next week.

I am feeling calmer, although have done very little towards Christmas and the family. It will be a token gift this year that's for sure.
Time to wake Dgd and get my shower.
Tonight I have a Life Coaching call, and some accounts to tackle.

Well I am gob smacked !
Mid afternoon the Social Worker is trying to change all the arrangements for the long weekend that we have had arranged since August.
The Foster Carer and I are absolutely fuming. The plans were for the children to come to me at 8 on Thursday morning and be returned late Sunday. The carers are going away for a wedding. Biggest and I are booked with the boys and her children to visit Santa on Friday morning, and a visit to Dgds school Christmas fayre in the afternoon, and we were having a family Christmas on Saturday where everyone was coming here for a buffet.
But now the social has first said they were to come to me for Thursday but go to their parents for Friday and back to me for Saturday and Sunday.
Now he is saying they are to go to the parents at 8am ( they will not be up! ), and be returning to me Friday morning, and then possibly go back to Parents Saturday and back to Foster family Sunday! If you ask me he is playing ping pong with the children and not thinking about them at all.
He is not considering all the planning we had all made, and the disruption of any of this.
I am guessing that he never had children himself.

I don't know how any of this works,, but can he really dictate such fine details ?

It was all fine details agreed ages ago, now he is changing it all without a thought for everyone involved. Yes unfortunately I think he can, but we are all supposed to be in agreement.

You know what? I think I would be inclined to say OK - and then carry on with the plans that you have already made! Why on earth should you all change these carefully made plans to suit the whims of a social worker who has probably never even been up at 8am on a Saturday morning!

Have to say this sounds like a plan to me.

Are you sure it’s the social worker and not your son that has initiated this? What’s the rationale behind the change?

Were you given a copy of the details agreed in August Mooloo? If so I would contact SS tomorrow and ask to speak to someone above the social worker you are dealing with and question why the plans have changed at short notice . It seems strange after all was arranged months in advance .
