Home, got a lift, so didn't get wet coming home but my I had got wet walking in this morning.
My friend cancelled her market stall which with the rain was a good thing and came to help me.
Over the last two days I have managed to clear 15 jobs from the board. One had two pairs of trousers, one two other items, a set of curtains, zips in coats and various mending. Feeling more in control of myself now.
I didn't bring anything home today. I think I deserve a night off.
Washing hanging in the bathroom to dry as weather is too wet. I doubt I will be drying outside any more this year. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I am...
Fine. It was an uneventful day, although a rather frazzled looking DS turned up about 8.30 to collect the buggy from my shed. Social Services have given them the boys for the weekend!!
I asked if he had food and he said they had been to the food bank. Said he had to go as he had the boys in the car and had to get or take her to work. I didn't quite get what he said. But I cannot control things, nor do I want to. My advice to Social fell on deaf ears then.
It is nothing to do with me, it is not my problem, but I cannot help but worry. I hope they prove me wrong! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Stand firm Mooloo and leave them to their own devices, no matter how much it goes against your instinct. Otherwise they'll never know whether they could truly cope with the boys living with them full time. You've got your Mum and Biggest behind you, as well as everyone here xx0

Mooloo, I am sure you have and will but please document all your interactions with social services, foster careers, you son/DIL and the children.
It may be important in the future to have a full record. Lastly please write, in a letter, to the manager of the social services team documenting your concerns and keep a copy. Send signed for.0 -
I always read Mooloo's thread, but rarely comment.
Where I live there is a desperate shortage of foster carer's my DD is a FC and she knows of carer's who return children to SS at Christmas so it doesn't spoil their family christmas. SS may have very little choice but to return DS's kids for the festive period.Chin up, Titus out.0 -

I believe the return is supposed to be permanent if they manage this weekend. Although I am confused as to why I need to do a supervised visit here next weekend, and if I am doing the four days respite care for the Foster Carers next week I don't really see the point if 5 days later they are going home properly?
Biggest has paid for the trip to see Santa on the Friday, and a ride on the train so I hope that they don't stop that from happening. Although I want to spend time with my grandchildren I am happy not to have to spend it with the GF.
I suppose all I can do is tell it how I see it. I am not a social worker anyway.
Today I had a call from the Dyslexia tester who is assessing Twin2.
She has forwarded the report to me.
What I gather is that she is way below adverage on her tests, she definitely has Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and they suggest some help that she will need to help her function in the work place ever.
I felt very sad that what I have been telling the world for 25 years of her 30 year life, was accurate and Ignored. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

You are doing WHAT? Seriously Mooloo?0 -
Maybe it was prearranged before she told him no more. I think it was mentioned before.
She's trying and doing her best, she's told him no more help financially and she's sticking to it which must be hard considering her sons got the kids with not very much. She's doing her best.
