  • It will fly by, put some Christmas music on in the shop and sing along.
  • Hope you're singing along as you sew . Sorting and ironing the clothes yesterday must have made a difference , a big tick off the things to do list . You've prompted me to make the effort to sort out all the winter clothes , scarves , hats etc to donate to a small local charity who provide a cooked meal and donated clothing to those in need .

You'll soon be on that plane with your mum .

I confess that I didn't go to work.
My friend and the Seamstress were in today, so I decided to sew the dogs beds I had, and some tablecloths to make. I started them about 8.30 after Dgd reluctantly went to school-late because she kept saying was feeling sick. I was going to go in later, but Biggest came over with the baby, and while I sewed she pottered around, helped me by putting away the toys etc and moved on the washing etc. We talked about the weekend and she supported me while I rang the social to put in my report/concerns about returning the boys at Christmas, when the Support Workers would not be available, I am away, and it's the busiest time in a pub.
He said thanks for all my help, my objective views, and my ability to be neutral and yet still support.
I said that I may not be popular with my son, but I was concerned that they do it right, because I didn't want the boys to be taken away again if parents fail, as they would not be returned to the couple that are caring for them now, and they would be with strangers because family can't do it.
I felt quite drained after that, and decided that I would stay at home and finish my clothes, and I have done it!
I have three bags of clothes for the charity shop. All my clothes except those in the wash and drying are ironed and put away. I have a basket of socks to pair this evening.
But the tidying has helped me calm down and I hope a decent sleep tonight and back to work proper tomorrow.
I will be with my Mum on Wednesday. I told Social I am not having the children this next weekend as I have them the following and I need a weekend to do my shopping as I didn't get to shop this weekend.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I don't have a music license in the shop so can't play music. Although when Shop is quiet I sometimes listen to motivational you tube stuff!

There's no need to " Confess " Mooloo . You will have achieved much more at home today than in work .
You truly have now done your best by making that phone call . You are amazing and even worked from home today too .

Just get tea over , pair the socks then a warm bath , feet up and hopefully an early night .

You have been very courageous Mooloo - putting the needs of the two little boys in front of your wants - it is now up to the Social workers to make their decisions and with your input, they should be able to make a decision which is the right one for the boys. xxxxx
