Yeah I am moving still! Bit sore, but not as bad as I expected. I am going to manage to get to work anyway.
Today I am doing hand sewing with the children and we're going to make felt flowers. Could be interesting.
Watched a documentary on Netflix about the True Cost of fashion. I was aware of some of the things like low pay, but I was not aware of the chemicals etc causing illnesses etc and the real costs to people and the environment.
I will be pushing the Make Do and Mend mentality via my shop! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
My idiot for a Son didn't bother to book the van, and didn't swap his shift at work today, she has contact with the boys while DS is at work. So we are rolling in to another week owing rent on the old house. I despair at how useless he is.
On the bonus side I have a clear section on my Callander today now, and I can use my time ( after a hot bath because I am so stiff), to start blitzing my own home.
I too have too much stuff!!
But I doubt that I will be going at it like a whirling dervish as the body is to sore.

I'm sorry Mooloo but looking at your last few posts I believe the time has come to say No more to your son . You spoke of him telling you he loved you a few days ago . Well love means caring about those you love . Making sure they have peace of mind . time for themselves and the means to stay happy and healthy .
Every time he doesn't bother doing something you get the fallout while he gets on with what he wants to do . This is never going to change as he knows you'll sort things out . If you want to be able to run your business , care for your DGD and spend time with your mum and other family you have to leave him to get a grip .
You aren't helping him now , you're enabling and encouraging him to do his own thing while you sort his various messes . There has to be a point where he needs to grow up . He's got two children and can't behave like a teenager doing his own thing .
I don't know if the rents are on DD or whatever method they're paid by but I would stop paying now officially . It isn't your obligation it's theirs and it's time they stopped draining your finances and physically and mentally exhausting you .
I've long been into make do and mending but that's for another post . I saw red when I read he hadn't sorted the van again .
Cut yourself a bit of slack today and if you're doing some sorting at home do short bursts rather than lengthy bouts .
Take care

I did one car load, then I left him as I needed to do my food shopping.
I am back home with my feet up.
I should be doing my own stuff but at the moment I truly cannot be bothered.
I am doing washing, as and when the machine finishes, and I have a casserole in the oven for later.
But I am happier to read, watch TV and save my energy now. Jobs will still be there in the morning! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just do the minimum necessary tonight and get your feet up and rest this evening . Start afresh tomorrow .
Meant to say congratulation to DGD on her award .

Moving the washing as and when machine stops, going to do all the wet stuff then go back to dry it. Found that works better than washing/drying it in one go. I have some hanging in the bathroom, but not enough room for it all. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
