Normal busy day at work, as much coming in as going out.
New neighbours have started to dig the foundations of their extension and gone through a water pipe. So my garden is getting a watering! They are trying to get AWA to find where the mains stop !!!! is, so I expect we will have no water in the very near future!
And he will have a mud bath that will not help his digging. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
My friend is having a rough time with her children, so it was my turn to be the support etc for her last night. My life is easy compared to hers. I must remember that when I am feeling hard done by.
I slept better for once, although the dreams in the early hours of the morning were weird.
My son is attempting to move the rest of the house today! Only about a month since they were told about it. I am going to pop over this morning to make sure that He is actually moving.
I paid the last rent on that house yesterday and have told him that he has to be finished with it today. We have the boys here tomorrow.
Dgd is back to moaning about getting up and going to school, she has a very small cut on her toe and she's complaining as if her foot is about to fall off. Last week it was a insect bite.
I have managed to put an extra £50 into savings this week. Fingers crossed it can stay there. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Small puffs of steam are coming out of my ears, and there are furrows in my brow, and my lips are pursed!
So you see the picture. Why you may ask? Well second hiring of a van, to move DS finally! So I sort out my staff, and went to meet DS at the first house. Lady Muck was supposed to be tidying up and making room for the furniture.
Two hours of lifting wall units, sofas, wardrobes and drawers etc, matteresses and boxes the van was full and we went to the new house. Lady Muck was still asleep and she hadn't done anything.
DS and I had to make space before bringing in the furniture. Lady Muck only came out to the van when we were lifting the last piece of furniture out.
I am back home now. Going to have a hot bath as my back is starting to hurt. There were some short sharpe words at her direction before I came home. I had to be home for 2.30 for a delivery. Dgd has just come in from school and she's having the bath first. She's growing up fast.
I have told DS I would go to help later but I think that I broke the back of it, and they should be able to do it. I told them that the next thing they must do is deal with the money, etc as I cannot meet the credit card repayment on my own and it is imperative that they help. I told them that the Bank Of Mum is now closed. That I will not help anymore as I cannot.
I will help write letters to creditors etc, I will give Menu Plan ideas, etc but no more money.
DS was not very happy with Lady Muck and I doubt the rest of their afternoon is going to be a very happy one. She didn't like being told what to do.
I talked to Biggest just now and described the chaos and she said that's why she had to stop helping him, because she cannot deal with her. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Bleep bleep.

Oh Mooloo - I had a feeling this would happen. I hope you find the strength to stick to your resolution to step back from them as much as possible. No matter how much you do, or don't do, for them it is likely that you will always end up being "the bad guy".
I visited my eldest last week and their house is a tip (and I don't just mean a bit untidy). I used to keep on at them to tidy up which just caused no end of rows and wore me out, but now all I do is to say I can spare an hour to help get it a bit straighter. This is always refused so I just say "ok" and leave them to it. Although I often comehome and have a little weep I have to accept they have the right to live the way they want to. It seems counter-intuitive but our relationship has improved I think because some of the anger and frustration (on both sides) is being replaced with an acceptance that I can't change them. I think as a mother you always feel you could/should do more, but there comes a point when you have to accept you have done all you can.
Get that bath and relax tonight - turn your phone off if necessary.0 -
You are a better woman than me mooloo, I would have been steaming round the house bashing a saucepan with a spoon making a racket to get her up!- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
Pjs on, bath finished, dinner done. DS says they are moving stuff now, a freezer he forgot was in the shed!!!
Luckily madam is supposedly helping him now and I can rest up.
Which I am going to do!
I may go up to bed very early with a book and or a film on Netflix.
No wine in the house, or I would probably have enjoyed a glass but I am not going out to get any.
Tomorrow morning the boys are coming over, so I will potter first thing. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I knocked on the door and marched in, saw her lying there and barked at her to get up and get some clothes on now!
And walked out to wait for DS to arrive with the van, as I had gone in my car. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Time for bed. Just trying to find the energy to move! Hopefully only a few days of aches and I will be back to normal. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

It's my arms and small of my back that ache today. But I have managed to move so that's a bonus.
I was messaged at about midnight asking if I can repair a zip on a suitcase.
I have replied this morning ( wonder if I woke her?) and said that it needs a special type of sewing machine- possibly a cobbler would have. She has replied that she was hoping the slider could be just put back on the track!
I have politely replied that she could try feeding it through and closing the gap, but I am a dressmaker first and foremost. Sorry.
The mind boggles as to why she thinks that I could fix her suitcase? Especially when it's not a sewing related job at all!
It is my day off today, I have to nip out to collect some leggings that I have ordered, and a pair that I won in a give away. Then we have my Son and his GF here for contact with the boys from 11am-6pm
So feeding them and getting them ready for bed for the Foster Parents.
I better sort out the spare room in case they need a sleep during the day as 7 hours is a long time for contact!
The GF is under the illusion that they will get the boys home for Christmas. She needs a rocket up her proverbial if she is expecting to get the house clear and safe for them! I cannot see it. I am not sure if I want to help either. Yesterday I could really have given her a quick kick up the backside!
So tea time, get Dgd up, quick tidy up before I do anything else. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
