Kathryn, we are sending our love x

    Gambia, enjoy x

Bubbs.... what do you intend doing in your wonderful dress?
Everyday wear not work though but at weekends

The white stuff is back with a vengeance here! We haven’t got rid of the last lot so getting out of our village is difficult. The bus stopped coming up on Friday too. It’s less than a mile from main road, but it’s a dead end here so no through traffic. There’s no shop either.

    Welcome home, Denise.

    Great loss, Sunshine (blooming amazing!)

I’m with Nicki re the dress, bubbs. Do try it on though; these wrap type things look terrible on me but great on nearly everyone else! What about wee boots to wear with it? Although, with the weather here, wellies would be more appropriate!

    maman, your boys done good!

Nicki, what size is your Instant Pot. I planned to replace my huge stovetop pressure cooker (circa 1973) with a new digital one. I got a 3l one and I am unhappy cos it is toty – and recipe book is almost non existent! It works fine, but I am still hankering after a bigger one – even although there are just 2 of us. I have 2 slow cookers which I use often – a 3l and a 5l.

Today I scraped in under 15 syns :
    Breakfast: hexb porridge, banana
Lunch: hm pea & ham soup, WW raspberry yogurt
    Snack: shortbread finger (5)
Dinner: BBQ chicken drumsticks (made in old pressure cooker - 1), wedges, coleslaw (1), 24g gingerbread (5), ½ pot Ambrosia light custard (3 ½ )
    Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

Dreading going out tomorrow morning; roads are awful.
Hope the weather is a bit better today for you x
Yes could wear boots i guess

I've just started slimming world - only signed up a few days ago. I'm having some difficulty working out which things are syns or free food but I'm going to set up my phone with the app tomorrow so that should make things easier to follow. I actually ate so much wholewheat pasta today that it felt wrong but then it is a free food, right?
Welcome yes free but eat plenty of speed food too:D

beanie, we can get the car out because DH has cleared the drive and the road in front of the house after every snowfall. I drove for the first time this morning and once I got out of the village and onto the main road it was fine. I hope the rain takes some more snow away tonight.

Hi, lucia22, lots of people here will help you out.

Thanks, Nicki, I’m very tempted. My old one has a humungous basket with dividers so I can do potatoes and veg at the same time. I don’t think any of the modern ones do that. Idid see that you can get tons of accessories for the instant pot. I bought the digital one with Tesco vouchers (I save them for treats), so it wasn’t ‘real’ money iyswim and I wouldn’t feel too bad if I got another – might be difficult sneaking it past DH! DD even bought me a new cookbook for the digital pressure cooker, but the quantities wouldn’t fit in, so I tried a few in the original beastie. I also use the old one as an ordinary pot to make jam.

    Congratulations on earning SOTW, Sunshine.

Well done, Lioness, Msm, dawyldthing and Nicki.

Good luck, tomorrow, Kathryn. NHS food can sometimes be great for slimming 😉 hmm. Thanks for keeping our chart, especially when you have so much more to think about.

Love your clever use of clapping smilies, bubbs.

I am happy to say it’s -2.2lbs for me this week. Just need to stay on track.

Has anyone tried the cranberry and coconut crispbread bites from Lidl? They are lovely. I reckon 3 cost 2 syns, There were cheese and chive ones too – maybe another time.

Breakfast: banana, 2 boiled eggs, hexb soldiers, 7g butter (3)
Lunch: baked potato, prawns mayo (1), green salad, kiwi
Snack: 3 cranberry and coconut bites (2)
Dinner: hm chicken casserole (lots of veg in there), Brussels sprouts, new potatoes, Skyr raspberry yogurt
    Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

Just popping in quickly to say good luck for tomorrow kathrynha. I'm not religious but I was near a church earlier so went in and lit a candle for you. Don't know if you're religious either, but sure it won't do any harm :rotfl: Take care of yourself, and don't be worrying about staying on plan. It's pretty much impossible with hospital food.

Thanks for all the congrats. I do feel a fraud as I was STS for so long.... but at least I was able to wind OH up which was priceless (I know I should not be mean... but he was rather funny).

I think I have unintentionally managed a SP day.

    Todays food

    Breakfast/lunch/grazing throughout the day
    Carrots (full pk)
    Turkey (full pk)
    Blueberries

    Evening meal
LF mince, onions, mushrooms, spinach cooked in chopped toms.

I was going to have a yoghurt with fruit - but I am stuffed

bubbs, I hope hubby is going to take you out somewhere nice in your new dress. x

Lucia, welcome. The wealth of knowledge and support on here is priceless x

    hello all,

Welcome to Lucia - believe me if I can do SW anyone can!

Hugs to beanie, jay and Mrs Ryan and anyone else you needs them.

Best of luck Kathryn, I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end and I'll be thinking of you over the next few days.

Welcome back joedenise, interesting that you didn't love The Gambia.I have friends who go there regularly and love it but when they talk about it I've always thought it sounded boring - not that I'd say that to them of course...

What a fantastic loss SSM and bubbs too :T and all those who lost or STS which is more than I managed

+1 lb well deserved tbh, lots of syns came my way this week but back on it now. After all it's only 2 weeks to the wedding and that dress needs a bit more off or I really will bulge in all the wrong places

For those talking about bra sizes, my beloved OH commented mournfully about 5 stone in ' oh you've lost loads and you look great but your boobs have got smaller' what a charmer eh? My answer was something along the lines of ' so has my @rse my love' ...

I was at a celebratory event today so no choice at all about food for lunch. Over my syns for the third day running as a result. I've only got 1 syn left for tomorrow until I reset for the week! Hopefully I can manage a non syn day with a little planning.

    Breakfast:skipped
Lunch: mushroom soup, chicken and mixed veg with gravy, tarte tatin
Dinner: beef stir fry with noodles. Fat free rhubarb yoghurt

I stayed off the alcohol but I had a glass of elderflower cordial for the toast.

I'm guesstimating at 21.5 today, which is 6 for soup, 3 for gravy, 2.5 for elderflower and 10 for the tarte tatin (it was a tiny portion)

    HEA milk. No HEB today.

I've ended up missing breakfast for last few days so need to start getting back into better habits there and also to make sure I eat my HEBs and speed.
