Hoping that 2018 is better for me. The treatment is working, and consultant is hoping to be able to remove what is left soon, so the end is in sight hopefully.
That's great news kathrynha. I'm so pleased for you.:TSunshinemummy wrote: »Do people not have another huge cooked meal today?
We're having a roast today like bubbs.:)
We stayed up last night (always do) and had far too many syns. Not just the fizz but I attacked a pack of chocolate covered cherries that a friend gave me. I've decided that I won't be properly back on plan until Thursday when I can start on a full week of 105 syns. That's when I plan to start keeping my food diary too. Today will be the last really synful day though as I will be having some wine syns with my dinner which I wouldn't normally do on a Monday.
Glad you found the recipes pollycat. I think the HB steaks are brilliant. We had them with chips last night but I generally make a roast with them. I use the beef medallions from Lidl as a preference but any steak will do even shin. Just ask if there's anything we can help with. Things have changed a bit over the years but the old plans still work.:)
DH and I have taken most of the decorations down this morning. It's great to have the house back. I'll leave the wreath on the door until Twelfth Night but that's all. Now I feel I've cleared the house and can start afresh for 2018. I'll make a few resolutions and one of them will definitely be to get back to target ASAP.:D
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage wit HEA milk
L: not hungry yet but maybe soupJO roast pork with SW roast potatoes and BNS, swede & carrot mash, red cabbage, broccoli
Syns: squirt of syrup, extra porage, HM gravy, wine syns:o0 -

We have a roast dinner on New Years Day. Nothing big like Christmas Day, but a bit nicer than a regular roast. Got a nice venison joint that's been taking up space in my freezer for a while. The damage over the Christmas period was nowhere nearly as bad as I feared. I had a gain of 1lb which still left me with a 7lb loss over all for December which was my target when I joined the last thread.
That's really not too bad.
Think I might have managed to miss your last 2 weigh in's. If you let me know them I will update the spreadsheet.Zebras rock0 -
Managed to escape the hospital properly. Infection under control so I am free again. Now just feeling totally unorganised for back to work tomorrow.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - NHS crap
Lunch - NHS crap
Dinner - roast venison, roast parsnips, cauliflower cheese and gravy
HA - milk and cheese
HB - flour in cheese sauce and gravy
Syns - don't think NHS food needs synning, as it tasted to yucky to be classed as food.
Also need to sort out something to eat tomorrow at work.Zebras rock0 -
Hi Sunshinemummy, Happy New Year.
We used to have a big meal when the children were younger, but now it's just the two of us, we see the New Year in until the early hours then chill and take it easy on New Years Day, including eating 'easy' food. Our 'children' have more-or-less moved out now and they usually have to work over New Year, so they couldn't come to a family meal anyway.
I'm impressed with your walking and your healthy eating start to the day.
Have a lovely day. :T
Nicki, a gain of only 1lb is amazing. Well done! :T
Happy new year jay
This is the first year that the kids all seem to have totally disappeared without warning - I think we will be eating left overs for weeks!
I have my low fat roasties etc. OH can have the ones cooked in oil (he is walking with me, but says he does not want to loose weight as he is perfect just the way he is....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:). If DS3 gets out of bed in time he will eat with us... but will be hung over so I am rather hoping he stays in bed!Afternoon all
SSM we are having roast pork, actifry roasties, (well hubby and sis are) Brussels/carrots/cauli/broc /yorkie and gravy nom nom:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i will have mint sauce as free.
Cooked a gammon for pack up as back to work tomoz:o
Please that there are a lot of us but why no roasties?
I have to admit to doing stuffing.... I love stuffing but need to be good!100 -

Thank god.... I really thought we were just odd balls!
I have to admit I ate most of the cheese and crackers and drank the rum coconut cream.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: After all I did need to clear the non SW food out of the cupboards x:D:D
Decorations will stay up until the 12 night...and then I will get OH to take them down as I will end up working late (on purpose) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:100 -

You are still odd balls, maybe just not on this:rotfl::D
I think we all do the binge eating stuff up before getting back on plan. Bad habit, but I do hate waste.
And our decorations will be staying up to 12th night too. Don't get why people put them up so early, when they know they are fed up with them by Boxing DayZebras rock0 -
slight chnage to today's plans:
breakfast was as planned
lunch: only just eating as i haven't felt hungry. soup (1 syn for horseradish, 3 syns for cream...oops)
tea: chicken and mushroom pie - will weigh out precisely 25g shortcrust pastry (5.5syn) and it's one syn for the white sauce. going to attempt sw chips to go with them. and will have salad too
snack: 2nd hifi light, strawberries, sweetclems
hea: will be milk but i won't finish it all as not had any yet!************************************

That makes two of us! Once the eating plan went off the rails so did the weigh ins. The last one was 12 December.
I know it's only day 1 back on plan but my digestive system is thanking me for eating in a more healthy way today. I feel a lot more energetic and lighter.0 -

That's brilliant news! :T
I'm hoping to make a chicken and grated carrot salad for tomorrow, but will see how tired I am this evening. I'll take a ff yogurt with me and I keep an 'emergency' mugshot and a can of SW friendly soup at work, for lazy/can't be bothered days.Sunshinemummy wrote: »Happy new year jay

Our kids were here for the 3 days over Christmas and OH and I were off work too, so it was lovely to spend time together. :T They managed to eat most of the 'cooked meal' leftovers while they were here and I sent a lot of the biscuits, chocolates and mince pies home with them.:D
I love stuffing too, especially if it has flaked almonds and other very delicious additions.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.
