What sort of thing do you like? There's a bookworm thread on here somewhere - on Oldstyle I think. I like thrillers/crime fiction and any thing that makes me laugh out loud.

I'd recommend anything by Carl Hiaasen (make sure it's not the kids fiction) - crime novels usually set in Florida but very funny, or Mick Herron, Slow Horses, British failed spies and also funny, I read in bed and I woke OH up laughing at that one.

    Thanks I will have a look. x

Lots of great Scottish crime writers.
Quintin Jardine, Ian Rankin, William McIntyre to mention but three.

  • SSM - I enjoyed Then she was gone by Lisa Jewell & The Child by Fiona Barton. Ive listened to Three Things about Elsie, Faking Friends & currently listening to The Girl Before on Audible.

Maman no its a bog standard SC - the pot was just in the work top when I took the photo. What I did tonight was just before I added the pak Choi I put the cornflour into a little bowl, and using some of the juices from the SC made a paste which then got stirred into the SC .

It was lovely - perfect for weather like this.

What model are you getting ?

I love easy reading Chick Lit when I'm on holiday. Those set in Ireland are current favourites like Patricia Scanlan and Judith O' Flanagan. Or you could read all the Poldark novels.

We've ordered a VW Touran. That's what I've got now and I've loved it for 10 years and 100 000+ miles so happy to have another.

I've got an ordinary SC too so can't use it on the hob. I was just thinking that I could perhaps cook it all except the pak choi in case I had more than 2 portions. Then add pak choi to one and freeze the rest. I wouldn't want the greens to be soggy.

Advance warning of the new challenge

This challenge finishes Sunday night, so it's time to start thinking about the next challenge
    Slimming in to Spring

I will be starting the new thread at the weekend, but the new challenge will run from Monday 5th March to Sunday 6th May which is 9 weeks.

If you would like to be part of the next challenge please post clearly what you would like to lose during the challenge and I will add you to the spreadsheet.

I'm going to say 8lbs as i think it might slow down. Thanks for running it Katheryna. The one after will take me through to when I first started. That's scary as its gone so quick

Well done Katheryna on the loss btw and welcome Jayne :)

We've got quite a bit of snow. It's been a while since we've had this much but the problem is it's freezing into thick ice so will be like an ice rink :/
