I hope storm Emma is not causing too much havoc, maman, although I think I heard there was a red alert for south of England and Wales.
Very pregnant DD's husband (pregnant DD, not husband.lol) ventured out on foot !!!8211; no chance of shifting a car !!!8211; to local shop then to next village but there wasn!!!8217;t any bread or milk and shelves are empty! They don't have much to fall back on as they'd run everything down for move on Feb 1st. I can't do anything to help them out. Just heard this minute from DS that his trip to tournament in Spain is cancelled. Schools are all closed again tomorrow.
Tete, could those blisters be cellulitis?
Lots of great Scottish crime writers.
Quintin Jardine, Ian Rankin, William McIntyre to mention but three.
I!!!8217;ll add Stuart McBride, Peter May and Alex Gray to that list.
Or you could read all the Poldark novels.
I!!!8217;ve got all of them in the loft from when the 70s series (Robin Ellis & Angharad Rees) was on. I haven!!!8217;t been able to watch the new series in case I!!!8217;m disappointed.

Hmm I don't think so according to the pictures and symptoms described on the internet. They're big fluid-filled things that look like the yolk of those fried egg jelly sweets. No pain. Nothing else. I'm just terrified it'll be like one of those click-bait articles: She Ignored The Blisters But Within A Week She Had Snakes Coming Out Of Her Bum or something _pale_
Oh man I could really eat some chocolate but there's none in the house. This weather is good for something at least.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I have to admit, I like audio books, I often listen to the book of the week when writing reports (I always have to do 2 things at the same time....weird but it works for me)
Think I may stay at home... I should have set off 1.5 hours ago... so that is really my decision made!:D:D:D:D

I've put an extra layer on today to keep warm. Our heating is good but our old house only has single glazing.:(
Snow is still falling gently but it's nothing compared to the blizzards elsewhere.
When the old Poldark finished I sourced all the books that followed and loved them all greentiger . Although we have a bit of a laugh at the new bare chested Ross and the endless fillers of galloping across cliffs (probably where adverts will go when they sell to US), the new Poldark is good. I don't think you'd be disappointed.
I'm just settling down to watch a DVD. A few weeks ago I watched Cranford (which I'd read years ago but missed on tv). It's really excellent if you enjoy period drama. So we bought the sequel and today is an excellent excuse to watch it.
Saved a syn at lunchtime! :rotfl: I found ham in the fridge so had that with stir fried veg instead of noodles.0 -
Another snowy day here too. In the shelter of our garden it is now well over a foot deep, but where it is more exposed it is ranging for 1cm to over a metre as the wind is blowing it all over.
Got tonnes of food in, but fresh fruit and veg is getting to be in short supply. Having my daughter stuck at home with some of her friends means they are eating lots. Not going to starve but might start to struggle to stay on plan.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - porridge and fruit
Lunch - HM soup
Dinner - speedy chilli
HA - milk and cheese
HB - oats
Syns - cranberry juice (2.5), and daughter is baking, so will have to eat some.
Main concern at the moment is getting to hospital tomorrow for an appointment.Snowday here think all schools are shut.
Wind horrendous and snowing heavy not stopped. 3ft and more deep drifts all over
No walkies I nearly got blown over in back garden had to grab drainpipe to stay upright
Will be a miracle if I don't put on on Sunday I have had 3 days non SW but back on it today had jacket with beans for my dinner. Was hungry had it early
Stay safe xYet more snow here today. Schools closed & some roads closed.

Hi and welcome x
Saw the snow on Anglia news:eek: where abouts in Norfolk do you live? Hubby is from there
Mad woman, glad you are home safe x
I’m in Naaaarwich, right on the A11/A47 interchange. Not had anymore snow over night but what we have got comes over my boots
We were talking at school about that, were told it’s not allowed now due to safe guarding etc. I know we’re all dbs checked but that’s the new rule! Wouldn’t matter at the moment as all local schools are shut :j
Hubby is back at work today but has had to call in as can’t get his van to move. Might have a go at digging it out for tomorrow though. Didn’t tell his boss we have a 4x4 :rotfl:
Son and I trekked to local Tesco express yesterday only to find it had closed early. Had fun walking back as son being a big kid kept face planting in the snow :rotfl:. He got me walking through field and again in front garden, although he landed on me and thought he’d popped my shoulder (hadn’t but hurt like hell). Bit sore today.
Hubby dug out the 4x4 this morning so we got to the bigger Tesco for milk, and enough veg for stews the rest of week.
B&Q told son to stay home yesterday but rang today to say go in early as closing at his normal start time, he’d told them yesterday it’s his normal day off anyway.
I might be going in tomorrow depending on weather over night as can walk. Will wait to hear from Head though.
Now off to brave the windchill to walk the dog, kettles on ready for a hot drink and hubby has made a massive stew :T:T
Bit off plan but need the stodgeIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
Keep the Faith All
