Sorry I've been AWOL. Last week I gained 1.5lbs and have lost it this week. Hopefully I can now turn things around.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Oh, Tete, you made me laugh, thank you and sorry at the same time.
I may watch the new Poldark then, maman. Mr GT worked for Collins, so I got my books from there (5p each for employees, less than the price of a magazine).
Main concern at the moment is getting to hospital tomorrow for an appointment.
My daughter is supposed to go to Glasgow tomorrow for her pre-op appointment ahead of her section on Monday. And now I see this from the BBC - High winds have dislodged several roof panels of insulation material on top of the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital building.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said an area had been cordoned off around the building as a precaution as safety experts assess the damage.
No one has been hurt and the situation is not affecting patient care.
You couldn’t make it up!

Evening all
At mums, aka Siberia upon TyneBlinking freezing here but mum and I wrapped up warm and trekked out to the shops. Spent an enjoyable afternoon wandering around shops that we had virtually to ourselves- I bought vests, thermal socks, pjs, two tins of M&S Irish Stew to take home and wine and ice cream for this evening. Mum and I enjoyed a coffee before coming home- and mum reckons walking in the snow was really good Body Magic, like walking on sand
I’ve tried out the Victorias Secret pjs and oh my life, they are amazing! So amazing I decided to branch out and try their underwear
I’ve spent an obscene amount of money on new underwear and pjs. I feel slightly guilty!

I love that,Mrs Ryan. I live 15 miles south in Sunny Seaham by the Sea as I ironically call it even at the best of times, since even in summer those vigorous sea breezes makes us about 5 degrees colder than even a few miles inland. I live on top of a hill ironically called Mount Pleasant and we are still getting battered with 33mph winds, which are making the 0 C feel like -11C according to the local forecast.
But at least the power is still on,unlike for 400,000 unfortunates in Cornwall etc.:(0 -
Snowed in! No weigh in for me today I'm afraid.
I don't mind how you record it Kathryn, STS or holiday xx0 -
Ah Dusty, I'm about 15 miles south again! Your part of the coastline is beautiful but yeah, a bit windy! We've had no more snow since yesterday aft but the wind has kept me awake all night
I think we're about done in the NE now according to the forecast I saw last night, looks like other parts are in for a battering though - stay warm all!
Still trying to decide what to eat today... Weigh day tomorrow!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all.
1/2 off for me this week so yet again haven't hit my challenge target or my SW target. So for the next challenge please can I have 2lb as my target which will get me to where I want to be (with 1/2lb to spare). I'm just outside the 'healthy' range for BMI for my height and my aim was always to get into the 'healthy' range so I'm not being unrealistic - then I have to stay there!
Todays menu
B Bran flakes berries yoghurt and honey
L JP cottage cheese and salad
D Veg curry that I abandoned earlier in the week
Take care everyone.0
