Just discovered squash made with hot water.......lovely

I enjoy hot Ribena. It's very useful for keeping your HEA milk allowance in check too.:)

Enjoy all your new togs xx

Absolutely:T. It's the biggest of NSVs to be able to buy lovely things and enjoy them. What a difference from buying just any old rag because it happens to fit.
breakfast: heb honey monster puffs (no longer called sugar puffs?!) you get masses for your 40g and they just hit the spot nicely.
Thanks for the heads up lush. I'm having Weetabix at the moment because the portion sizes are idiot proof. Getting to target I always had Puffed Wheat as it's so light you get a monster (excuse pun) portion. I must try Honey Monster Puffs when I next buy cereal.

I'm not sure what's happening here yet. We wouldn't starve if I didn't go out but it would be good to have a bit more choice. I'll post later when I've made a decision. It's snowing now but it's wet stuff.

School shut 3rd day in a row, unheard of

B&Q told boy to not go in but today has to go in early as shutting at his usual start time.

Hubby didn’t go in yesterday as couldn’t get his van out. Dug it free today and went up road to turn round, nearly got stuck in huge snow drift. Managed to get out before walking back to get 4x4 :rotfl: not looking forward to him going to to work though :( boy should be ok as he has the 4x4. Fed up with the snow now :(

    Stay safe all :A

No more snow so far but very, very icy out. DH walked to Dr this morning to pick up our medications as we'll run out over the weekend so needed. It was so icy he fell twice but fortunately didn't hurt himself. More snow is forecast for this afternoon. Lit the log burner early today as it's so cold - the central heating just isn't coping.

Have done menu plan for the next couple of weeks using stuff I've got in stock. A bit repetitive but needs must with not being able to get out at the moment.

B - Egg, bubble & squeak (using up LO potatoes, cabbage & peas); beans
L - Two pea soup; 1 slice of WM bread (0.5 HEB)
D - a sort of hotpot - layers of savoury mince; aubergine and topped with sliced potatoes. Will also have some cabbage on the side

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread (0.5); Alpen Light? (0.5)
Syns - nothing planned but do have some olives in the fridge so may have some of them

I'm finding it really difficult to use my syns at the moment as not drinking alcohol and haven't got any chocolate left!

I have realised I am far to old.... all this computer stuff is above my head!

I have managed to get books from Amazon onto kindle cloud - but need to get the books onto my nook via calibre (I think that is the right way).

Can someone shout at me in idiot format if they know how to do this!
    Thanks
I have no idea:p but i am sure Chrisv does :D

Managed to get to the hospital this morning. Once I got off the estate the main road were all fine. Got a little too excited when the temperature display in the car got up to zero as I got further in to town.

Also managed to get to the supermarket, and stock up on fresh fruit and veg.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - porridge and fruit
Lunch - steak salad (star week, so iron low)
    Dinner - fish cakes

    HA - milk
    HB - oats
    syns - cranberry juice (2.5), haribo (6)

I'm also a fan of hot squash. Not allowed coffee, and limited on milk so it is a hot drink I can freely drink. I particularly like blackcurrant or the Ribena winter spice
Glad you managed to get there ok, hope appointment went well?

We walked down to the little Co-op. It's only about 300 yards away.. Roads are clear, buses are running but pavements are treacherous. It was easier and than digging out the car as we only needed bread. I bought a small wholemeal but uncut. DH had to have essential Belgian Buns too. Is it any wonder that I don't take him shopping!:D

Hopefully tomorrow things will be a bit more normal but we won't starve as plenty in the freezer.

    Today's EE menu :
B: NAS grapefruit, fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, LO fried veg and potato with pickles
    D: SW Spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: HP sauce 1, Parmesan 2, maybe gin?? :D
