    Happy birthday Tweets.

Weighed in this morning instead of this evening because of the weather and I'm happy to declare a 3.5 lb loss. Being good has paid off :)

    Today's plan :
    Breakfast - fruit and porridge
    Lunch - soup
    Dinner - chicken noodles

    HA - milk
    HB - oats
    Syns - cranberry juice (2.5)

And so say all of us!:j Hope you get to do something nice this evening.:A

Well done kathryha. I told you the gain would come off quickly!:T Now that you've more control on your food, you can really get back in the zone.:)

I've got about 10 syns left for today and tomorrow. I suspected that DH would make porage this morning but I'm sure it'll be tomorrow instead so I'm keeping them for that.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, (half) HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork, salad and pickles
D: baked haddock, mash (might mix in some onion & carrot), asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes
    Syns: none planned

    Congratulations Top Girl

I've been hovering around not posting much as was struggling a bit. Weigh in tonight as I had a proper meal last week for lunch rather than my usual graze on fruit until 2pm then nothing I am trying to continue in better habits so I have brought in some homemade leek and potato soup and some grapes and melon for lunch today :)

I've had a 95% week; with a meal out on Friday (fish and chip buffet and a shared dessert - only had mushy peas and cod at the buffet and about 6 chips!) but I'm still on crazy anti inflammatory meds from the gp which leave me bloated and constipated...sorry tmi I know. I have resorted to trying something to *help* but no help as yet :/ we will see how tonight goes

I have definitely decided that unless anything changes I will probably stop going to group after this countdown. I seem to do better without group as I then avoid a weigh day cheat/binge :/ and I also avoid feeling a fraud/guilty etc if I sit there with a maintain/gain

As group doesn't seem to be working for you LLS then you're probably right to stop going when your countdown finishes. You know you can always return at a later date if you think it might help at that time. Good luck whichever way to you decide to go.

Weather was so bad here (about 5-6" of show) there was no dr this morning but did speak to him on the phone and he left a prescription with the receptionist (we have a pharmacy at the dr as we live in the middle of nowhere!). DH walked down to collect it for me. Hopefully will feel better in a couple of days!

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge; easy peeler
    L - HM carrot & lentil soup
    D - chicken tagine; couscous

HEA will be milk as usual
    HEB - porridge
Syns - no idea but have plenty available - only used about 10 since I got back from holiday on Friday!

Good luck with tonights weigh in Lush. It is so difficult when medication works against weight loss. Just remember if you are feeling bloated and stuff, and you were last week too, then it's comparing 2 like for like weeks, so might not be as bad as you think.

Totally get the constipated thing. Try a diet where you are hardly allowed any high fibre foods, and iron tablet and other medication as well. I did a couple of times resort to enough sugar free sweets to get the laxative effects, but I found it just made me feel even worse, and you need to do it a few days before weigh in to allow stuff to work through you. Sorry if TMI :)

If you are eating on plan it does eventually show even if it doesn't seem like it and it can be so hard.

It is hard going to group, especially if the group aren't aware of issues about why you are finding it hard, but you definitely shouldn't feel like a fraud or guilty.
Everyone is different, and if you lose better not going to group, then you know we will all fully support you.

By my scales I have STS this week.
Probably a loss on SW scales, mine are rather unreliable
Actually since I went to class Friday instead of Tuesday last week this has been a 4 day week.
I have taken a 2 week break from attending class,as I have sinusitis, with headache, blocked ears and the pain in my teeth is pretty horrible.Have suffered it before,I get quite a lot of trouble with my right ear,so I know the drill - ear drops, under the towel inhaling Vicks in hot water ,and the strong codeine tablets that make me doped up and even confused so I am only taking them for 3 days. No point going to docs for antibiotics, they dont do a lot of good, and I dont want to become antibiotic resistant in case I need them if I am very ill sometime:D. At least this dose isnt too bad,I've had horrendous attacks where even walking across the room made my whole face ache!Once my face swelled up all down one side, and I looked like poor old Anthony Quinn as Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (for any oldies who remember as far back as that film!:rotfl:)Cant wear my partialdental plate and dont want to frighten everyone:D
The thought of facing the cold and snow and struggling the 200 yards in the snow for a bus home from SW didnt appeal. 4 inches so far,and blizzards forecast for tomorrow.Oh joy
Because eating hurts I am living mostly on porridge and tinned soup, not even opening the book to see how many syns!:eek:Really battling not to attack the tub of icecream in the freezer:rotfl:
All very annoying. So much for a nice holiday while Mr Dusty is away, and was disappointed not to go my granddaughter's 9th birthday party yesterday, couldnt face it :( Plus I only had a pound to lose to get my 4 stone award. Oh well,I should reach that target within the 2 weeks, and will get it when I return.
Enough moaning. What about things to be grateful for?
    New greatgrandson,strong and well.
We had our house all done a few years ago, double glazing, new boiler, draught proofing, cavity wall insulation new windowsand doors. So it is toasty warm in here
The snow looks so beautiful on the trees, and I dont have to go out among it.:j
  • Dusty Digger - it is sinusitis that has floored me - I usually take a similar approach and try to ignore it but this time I was so ill I had to resort to the GP. I'm currently waiting on the ENT team confirming an appointment for a new referral but they are so hard to pin down and appointments are like rocking horse doodah :/

Trying to stay positive. drinking lots more than usual so that's a win for me!

I ordered a new journal at the weekend so waiting on that coming (not an official SW one; one from Princess Planning on instagram) and also ordered some lo-dough to try (2syns a piece :O seems too good to be true! going to top mine with blitzed tomatoes, hea cheese and tehn chicken/ham/peppers etc :) )

  • Happy birthday TWEETS:j hope you are enjoying it.

I’m another one with bad sinuses at the moment, it’s not good :(

I’ve really been struggling with losing at the moment despite being amazingly on plan. Or so I thought... I haven’t been weighing my porridge at all and think I’ve been having the equivalent of three HEB choices. Oh dear :o I’ve now weighed out a portion and it’s tiny compared to what I was having!!

Hello again to TETE, lovely to see you back.

Get well wishes to all those who are under the weather and positive vibes to those who are struggling. A big well done to those who are managing to lose at the end of this challenge. I just want to move on to the next one. Fresh start and all that...

I've had the same problem msm . My DH uses a measuring cup to make our porage and when I weighed how much it holds, it's far more than a HEB. :(
It's actually 63g plus we have it with milk. I've taken to adding an extra 6 syns.

That being said, I used to be able to lose even with large porage portions but now it's much harder. Probably because I'm always hovering at the top of target range so always after that last few pounds. :)
