-1lb for me today!
Wish it was coming off a little bit quicker but maybe it's hard to shift cos I don't have a huge amount to lose altogether? Still no difference to how my clothes fit yet though, which is a tad disappointing. Been sticking to plan as meal on Wednesday was postponed to tonight instead. Been saving up all my Syns this week as you all suggested (thanks everyone!) so hoping it won't do too much damage... Will have to wait and see next week. Also back to running next week, so that's exciting!0 -
Love the twochubbycubs but avoid the blog if you’re easily offended (haven’t noticed anyone on here yet! :rotfl:)Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Morning everyone.
Great losses TIE (and what a lovely idea to encourage others to mention your Jamie) ssm, gts, Lioness and CattyCat
Lioness I love Two Chubby Cubs - their recipes are fab and I think their whole take on SW is refreshing - and of course, they are very very rude! SSM I think you'll like them!
Bubbs I really enjoyed a trip to Gibraltar last summer with DD2 who was working in southern Spain - it's history is very interesting and we had a brilliant tour guide.
After a big sulk (and extra syns) yesterday, I have given myself a kick up the bum this morning and made a very clear meal plan for the week. I've joined a facebook group for Aldi shoppers doing SW which is really helpful. I've also bought a Chromecast for the TV so I can do youtube excercise videos without peering at the laptop perched on the sofa.
So, today's menu
B Boiled eggs, 3 crispbreads 1/2 grapefruit with a tiny pinch of sugar (less than 1/2 a teaspoon)
L Salad with a sprinkling of feta cheese, orange
D Gammon with SW roasties, cabbage, carrots and cauli
I'm working from 7.30 tomorrow and everything's eaten on the run,so
B Berries and yoghurt
snacks - Alpen light, banana
L More feta salad
D LO gammon with mushrooms, tomatoes etc
Have a good Sunday, all.0 -
Well done lioness, ssm and catty. I love reading about losses!:T
Thanks for the heads up on the meatballs. I'll give those a try. Fortunately I have all the ingredients in so it'll make a change but not this week as we've had curry yesterday.I've joined a facebook group for Aldi shoppers doing SW which is really helpful.
Glad you're back on track esmy.:) I bought a bottle of NAS Ribena this week to have hot. I prefer to drink that to fruit teas. My other go to is hot water with (Aldi) lemon juice squeezed in. I'm trying to both up my water intake and stop myself going over with milk allowance.Yes looking at things to do and more importantly what we can eat when we go away and its 4months yet :rotfl::rotfl:
Are you self catering? As Gibraltar has such a British culture I'd assume you could buy anything we have here.
I'm going to make a big effort today to cut down on the number of potatoes we have with our dinner. I'm guilty of peeling a few an then doing a few more.:o I'm going to do roasted carrot and BNS to make up for it. We're having this recipe:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/241480/braised-lamb-shoulder-chops/
It's similar to the HB braised beef steak recipe. I'm using Lidl lamb steaks which won't take as long as shoulder chops. It's really tasty.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, (half) HEB toast, HEA milk
L: smoked salmon saladlamb steaks with SW roasties, carrots, BNS, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, red cabbage, swede & carrot mash
Syns: HP sauce 1, gravy 1? wine 30?:eek:0 -

Totally agree slow and steady making life changes, over a month I tend to have a couple of higher losses and then minimal or nothing.... it averages out to about 1 lb a week which is great weight loss (3,500 calories less consumed than the body uses).
Yesterday OH made me think about the permanent life changes needed. At Christmas the kids removed all the gifts that I received that were naughty - chocolate, wine etc. I managed to stash two boxes of my favourite chocolates. Yesterday OH found them and ate a full box - sat next to me (sometimes it is amazing that I have not murdered him).
I tell him he is not allowed to eat my other box as they are for me to have when when I have reached target. OH gives me that look, and tells me that I need to sustain the changes and not go back to eating chocolate. I nearly clobbered him one..... but then realised he is right.
If I am to obtain and sustain target the changes to my diet need to be permanent. Despite his wisdom...if he eats my chocolates I will definitely clobber him one!
Thank god he does not know that I have a bottle of wine hid at work and a bottle of Disaronno hid in the house........:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:100 -
