Maman - there's a mushroom stroganoff on the SW website. Haven't tried it (haven't even looked at the ingredients!). It's 1 syn a portion.
DH has survived his 1st day on plan but kept asking how many syns he had left! We were having G&T this evening and when we'd had a couple he said "have I got enough syns left for another one".
Wasn't too happy this evening when I had a couple of Ryvita and an Alpen Light for my HEB and he couldn't have anything as he'd has his as bread with breakfast!
Hopefully he'll get to grips with syn values in time!

Out of interest, do men get the same syn allowance as women ? I know generally they say that men need more calories than women, but as far as I've seen SW doesn't appear to differentiate ?0 -

No- men get 20 syns as standard plus more if they’re over a certain weight.
Hope everyone is doing okay- Kathryn hope the recovery is doing well. My mood has lifted a little but I’m in ridiculous amounts of pain at the moment so just lying low. I went off plan for the day yesterday as I had to go to Reading for the rugby- and hell did I enjoy it: I think it was what I needed. Kept saying to OH I can’t wait to go on hols so I can eat proper food :rotfl: I slipped seamlessly back onto plan today so that wasn’t so bad.
Today’s food:
B: Sausages, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms (1.5 syns) decaf coffee with HEXA
L: 1 x smoked salmon sushi snack from Boots Shapers (1/2 syn) Meat sushi taster from Co-op (1.5) Becks Blue (2) Apple, mango, melon, kiwi. Subway salad (1.5 for dressing)
T: Chicken thighs, salad, SW chips. HEXB 2 x Fruit and Nut Hifis, Quark with 2 x Fudge Highlights (4) decaf coffee with HEXA, 7up Free Mojito.
Syns: 11

Chuffed to little mint balls to announce -3lb this week. That's a whole new stonage and only 4 to go to get my first stone off.0 -
Good morning all,
I'm buying a new countdown tomorrow evening at group and after that will be going solo if i don't make decent progress. I'm wanting a stone minimum i think in the twelve weeks! Declaring a mini mar with my weight and I've told husband he can have take-aways etc but I'm not, not every week.
One of our friends is wanting to sw eating but she's in a wheelchair so can't attend group as they don't have the facilities to weigh her properly so I'm going to help her get started and do some planning etc. She obviously can't do exercise the same way being a quadriplegic so food in take will be a big part for her. she was doing really well but recent her bf (one of husbands oldest friends) has moved in and he's a bad influence!
I need to sort out lunches; got a bit bored of continuous soup so need to mix it up a bit. I'm going to make some jackets in the slow cooker once i have some foil to keep in the fridge/freezer and have them with homemade syn free coronation chicken or tuna or beans and some salad. evening meals are easier and I've meal planned so i will syn them and write the numbers on the weekly planner in the kitchen.
looks something like this:
monday - lasagne (syned)
tuesday - chip shop for the other two, taster night at group for me (will flex as needed)
wednesday - turkey steaks with rice and veggies and sauce (syns)
Thursday - chicken strips and actifry chips for the others, actifry chips and..something else for me pre-choirpotentially chicken or low syn sausage
friday - husband away so anything me and littlie fancy!
off to get ready then off on the pre-school run before taking my car back to the dealership today as the windscreen seems to be leaking a tiny bit!************************************

It is so difficult to stick to plan when you are in pain, as making food is difficult when you can't bear to stand at a work surface. I find the washed bags of salad and ready cooked chicken breasts are good for painful days.Lioness_Twinkletoes wrote: »Morning

New week for me, and back to working today, although from home, and possibly not a full day.
Weigh in tomorrow evening, and hoping I won't have gained too much.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - egg and asparagus
Lunch - coleslaw and chicken
Dinner - curry (already in the slow cooker as I know I will be too tired tonight)
HA - milk
HB - none planned
Syns - salad dressing (1), and sure there will be some moreZebras rock0
