No money spent yesterday. I did a huge clearout and recycled 10 years worth of diaries (I did keep the ones from when the kids were toddlers/babies as they had so many funny stories in), donated a big bag to the charity shop and another bag for rag.

My EcoEgg arrived yesterday and I did my first wash with it, very impressed, I will do a few more and update if anyone is interested in looking into them. I worked out it will save me almost £17 a year on laundry detergent and that is buying Ecover on offer.

I ordered my tea strainer on ebay yesterday, I've looked high and low and gave in eventually, I also ordered incense cones which are very inexpensive but I did pay for both things with money from an ebay sale.

Working today but do need to run and walk the dog but it is sleeting at the moment so I'll wait a bit.

  • Haven’t managed any new NSD. I was whisked off to Edinburgh as a surprise for my 30th birthday so it’s been quite spendy.

Today will also be a spendy day as it’s my birthday today and we’re going out for a meal.

I’ve had a lovely break away though. I’ve had yesterday and today off as flexi days though so tomorrow it’s back to work and fairly long hours to build my flexi back up.

Hoping Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will all be NSD though.

Lost my post last night and was too exhausted to redo it. Lurgy is leaving but left me feeling like a wrung out dish rag. Went to exercise class, had bought the shopping mum needed. Was going to go back with her but she dropped me off in the town centre.

Only hd to cross the road, the town hall square and the car park, but it felt like miles. Then I made myself keep my coat on until I had taken the 2 bags to the cs bin. Spendy day as I needed more soft food - white soft rolls which I would not touch normally, sliced beef to go with my watercress and some ys egg mayo. Fell asleep reading a book.

I am grateful for exercise class (last one next week), for the library and all the facilities it offers and soft rolls.

  • Hello,
Everything's gone to pot, but this is because I'm shifting how I deal with the meals and food planning - If I have it right things should settle down this week.
Really cross to have lost an NSD because of council not having DD1's swimming on the system, so had to pay for her. Brought it up at the centre I registered with, most apologetic, but no I can't have my money back. I don't have time to chase it down today.
    No NSD to add therefore.
Activity: 10,000+ steps & Gym yesterday.
Declutter: Posted out ebay sales. Need to list more.
Reduce Reuse: Made pasties from left over chilli, nice for the cold weather. Chuffed to bits about this one thing!
Non-Neg More bits for Foodbank. Reading - lots.
Gratitudes: being able to make pasties. DD2 liking Brownies.
Debt Free April 2019:j to July 2019 :( NEW WTC:eek:1,194
  • Had a lovely time at my friend's baby girl's christening on Sunday. Only spend was into the church collection which I put aside on Saturday and am counting towards my charity donations this month so counting it as NSD 8. Monday was NSD too, just toddler group but I put money aside for it. Almost bought lettuce on the way home to have with fajitas for tea but kept my NSD instead. I've got to pay my subs at a group i'm joining tonight so spendy evening. So on 9 NSD so far

Step counts have been low and had to give zumba a miss last night as I pulled a muscle in my neck. Feeling much better today and back in work tomorrow which is usually pretty active.

Haven't made any extra money since before xmas - no interest in my clothes on fb selling site. Will have to try ebay. Signed up to go back on oncall/overtime rota from April so income will be increased then!

    Today was NSD10 yay!!

No after school clubs tonight! yay!

It is painfully cold here. It might just be me, but the cold is actually hurting me, like sunburn in reverse. Not enjoyed standing on playgrounds at all. Brrrrr.

All food from stores, and lunchboxes tomorrow will have more steakless bakes and sultana buns as I have been baking tonight.

I have spent the day painting walls.
I may have to try my hand at plastering, at least it is a transferable skill.
And I get to see how long it will take DH to notice.

14 days left til payday, and being really tight, I have enough to do petrol, food, and breakdown insurance, without going anywhere near the overdraft or credit card.

Still have £400 left on the credit card to pay off though, £250 DHs car insurance so he will probably pay that on payday (hoping!!) so really only £150 on the card for me to pay, and that is easily do-able.

Just in time for DS3s birthday next month.

Off to huddle under a blanket and pretend I can feel my feet.
