Have a nice day. The sun's out here, hope it is down there too.
  • I'm starting to think kicking back more often is the way forward...
Good to know the ecg issue seems to be a one off.
Storage issues are such a pain but you are doing well.
You've earned your liquid lunch with all the UC stuff :)

  • Well, today I went to the cab to discuss my possible appeal .
I got there before 10am . I was lucky enough to be called straight in as promised by the two nice chaps I saw last time .
They took approximately 2 hours with me , which was great but I felt sorry for the inconvenience .

What happened was that, they photocopied the assessment and highlighted my reasons to object . They also filled out the application form which will lead to my court attendance . They even put the documents into an envelope and posted then . I think that means I have grounds to appeal then ..:o
Looking at the report , one of the advisors Noticed that I walk 1 mile to the gym . That is seen as a lot . Apart from that , it seems straightforward enough. We all had a laugh when the assessor reported that I hover , instead of hoover . I would've said vacuum , but there you go . They couldn't believe the amount of paperwork involved this far . They did say though, that no reason was given for declining my LCW . No Proper wording explaining why . Still , I've done everything as advised and they can only say no. I expect them to do that.

The bottom line for me , is that I am hoping to get part time work at a reasonable time of day ideally mid morning . What I don't want is to be told I must apply for positions at either very early morning , or evenings etc as my body won't be able to cope .
At least with this appeal process and my ( imho) brilliant work record , they shouldn't sanction me for stating the obvious that I do want to work again to tick their boxes , but also want to be capable of doing the right kind of job for me and a potential employer.

Today is the anniversary of my last working day in the city of stab city ( London :o)
I'm obviously delighted about most of what I've achieved since then .
As I say , I was hoping to have everything moving along in six months
It's 36 months next Monday since I actually arrived in Poole . Have I achieved much in 36 months ? I obviously wasn't fit enough , and knowing what I know now about universal credit I must say (right or wrong ) , that I've done the right thing by not applying for universal credit before I started 10 months ago. Having said all of that, I am now putting myself out there and meeting people . The job club tomorrow for example .(Thanks Moo) .
My next step is to join a band in the not too distant which should help socially .
So that's the work situation ..

In other news , my friend did say he'd help with the wardrobe on Saturday. Possible Guinness or 2;)

The 2 hours wasn't an inconvenience, it's what CAB are there for! Even if the tribunal doesn't overturn the decision, they might tell the DWP that they need to allow for your limitations, so it will still be worth it.
  • Feel run down today . I went to the job club ,and left earlier than intended . Managed to get some food shopping from Marks and Sparks so not all bad . In the last few weeks, I've gone from a comfort zone into doing lots more creating some sort of new life schedule .

That's what I mean about my condition : A few hours in Bournemouth with the cab yesterday, a couple of hours out today in the job club in Poole and a dentist appointment on Thursday which I've yet to confirm
Oh, and tomorrow I'm due to get weighed and measured by mr trainer. I feel lousy with the usual myasthenia problems today .
It'll pass I'm sure , but it's a pain which saps the energy out of me at random times . Still , if I persist with this new pattern hopefully my body will get used to it eventually .
  • Hi AC,

That's great that CAB helped, I agree with Giger too nothing lost in appealing.

Take it easy and rest xx
  • Aww sorry to hear you are run down today. You are making such good progress lately but you probably do need a rest. Could you put off Mr Trainer tomorrow and have a relaxing day? Maybe push the dentist appointment back too? Take care.

AC you have achieved masses over the last 36 months. Can't believe I have been reading your diary for longer than that!

You have been an inspiration to me. I retired at end of October (DH retired in April). We are going to spend a year enjoying ourselves (within reason)! Then we will decide whether or not to downsize and release the equity in our home. Reading your diary really pushed me to make the decision for DH and I to take a leap and retire earlier so thank you for that alone :)

    Hope you soon feel better.

    Thanks Mrs p :)
I've been called many things . Not sure about inspiration tho;)
It was scary and daunting back then , and I had a lot of help on my first diary before I even had a diary, if that makes sense.

Congratulations on both of your retirements .:T you have a year or so to relax and take stock .
The only thing I would say you yourselves is not to rush into anything ,and if you do downsize / move weigh everything up many times .
I over worry , and did that many times over before doing what I did .
If I stayed where I was I would have more equity , but I probably would've screwed it up due to my mental state and ( un) wellbeing at the time . Whatever you do will be done in a proper manner. Something like that :rotfl:
Hope it goes well for you anyway .
Thanks a lot for your kind words
  • So I had a nap in the afternoon . Then the blasted mobile phone kept ringing . No, I was not into having a long random call with my brother
Anyhow I felt better after it .

So I just realised, I have a blood test due tomorrow morning . I set a reminder on my iPhone and it doesn't state the time . Doh! I believe it's around 9.20 am I had better call to check .
I missed the last two . I get texts about appointments with Mrs doctor but none for a blood test . I used to never let things slip like this
    Oh well...:o

I haven't decided about the dentist or mr trainer just yet . I probably will go . Then again mr trainer may cancel .
Btw , my jeans are falling down as I mentioned before . It is getting much tho' . Tbh if my stomach was smaller I'd be ecstatic as I woukd go down another size . I'll see what mr trainer says when I see him..
