Thanks gigervamp .
Mr trainer says I should get free legal advice, ideally from citizens advice . The chap who I saw at cab last time did actually say to go back and see him if I need anymore help, so that's probably the place to start . I'll have to google for a benefits advisor in my area .
I applied online for a boiler grant Via the entitled to website . Nothing ventured etc .
We'll see ..0 -
Good luck with the grant.0

Well done for going back to job club. Getting your CV done is great and will help for future.
I think a benefit advisor will be able to help with your appeal (if you want to do that)
It will be great if you get a boiler grant!

So my landline phone wasn't working again on Friday . Spoke to the nice lady at Vodafone Egypt and in the end, it seems that the £6 phone I got from argos when I moved is the problem . I got a new phone delivered from the amazon yesterday and after charging I can make calls but not receive any. I think it's a quick fix from Egypt though as any calls I had from my landline were diverted to my mobile. Either that or engineer will probably have to sort out .
I accidentally activated my voicemail on Friday and it was a pita to switch it back off .
Slow , but fairly productive weekend in equal measures . I saw my local friend at lunchtime on Friday . Didn't do an awful lot.
However, on the battle to trying to tidy the gas room again and tidy the bedding from last week kept me going .
I have an external wall that was getting damp a couple of weeks ago, but the dehumidifier sorted out that problem. Unfortunately the dampness was going into my wardrobe . I removed all of the clothes on Saturday to try and move the wardrobe , but I'm not as strong as I was . Plus there is a little cobweb behind
I was going to call my friend to give me a hand moving it , but he is recovering from his sciatica and wouldn't be fair to ask for help this weekend just gone , so I put all of the clothes back.
In the wardrobe was the air bed I got from Qvc . Thing is it takes up too much space and with the 2 chairbeds I got , I don't know if I need it . My sisters did say keep it . Apart from the obvious place, I don't know where I can stick it ..
Yesterday , the gas room had to be tackled . It was put into a cluttered state due to the problems I have with the boiler . Still have a bit of moving about of stuff, but it looks better and I have more room .
When I get a new boiler, I must keep the room as clutter free as possible . Whoever goes in there has the room to do the their business I think .
I found an old computer interface which took a while to fix . The reason being was I had to remember my user name and password and download new driver/ license etc to get it working . What it means is that I have lots of guitar and bass effects I can use when recording or just noodling around . Quite handy .
Got through to Vodafone . All fixed. Faceplate is fine also , so it looks tidy again.
I sent a message just now on the universal credit journal about the help I got from the job club in Poole .
I then received text reminding me of my phone interview with the job coach at 945 am tomorrow .
I will probably go to the job club for 10am . And will probably have the interview in a coffee shop before hand . Unless I leave the job club for this week ..?
Regarding the appeal and going to court , I'm not 100% decided what next step is . If I do nothing , I get nothing . If I go , I'll probably get same result . Mr trainer did say that if I do nothing and do as I'm told, then if I get sent somewhere I can quit if unwell and get a new doctors note after things haven't bern resolved and I'm unable to work because they are sending me somewhere despite my ltd capabilities
Anyway, must dash to see mr trainer ..0 -
Your phone and computer issues would drive me mad I'm afraid but well done for pushing on with them.
Have you got a benefit adviser yet? Don't rely on Mr Trainer for benefit advice ask someone knowledgeable in that area. Talk it through with an adviser re pros and cons so you can decide what to do next.

Thanks DIA
I don't know who to contact regaining benefits advisor . Possibly another trip to cab ?
Gym session great . I have another session solo on Thursday
Next Monday I get weighed , measured and have more photos taken of myself . Hopefully there'll be an improvement on the last time .
One of the major plus points is I'm generally handling the disposal of prednisolone quite well after being in a really bad way while being on it
Three years ago today , the sale of my last flat was completed and I handed in a weeks notice instead of a month.
I've only been back to stab city 3 times since . 2 of those were for hsp appointments with mr specialist and once to the o2
I'm still waiting to hear about the boiler grant . I have a feeling I haven't been in the wonderful universal credit long enough to qualify
Whatever ..0 -
Speak to CAB and ask for a benefits advisor, if the charity that you contacted doesn't have one.
Do not take advice about benefits, from Mr Trainer, or anyone else who doesn't know what they're talking about!
Do go to the tribunal. They are independent from the DWP, and overturn a majority of appeals, so it's definitely worth doing. You'd be a fool not to.0 -
Thanks gigervamp..
Yep! Cab on weds looks like the way to go .
I'll printout the letter that was sent and take it with me with all the other stuff I'm used to carrying around these days when I see people .0 -
Fingers crossed that you get the grant.
Good luck with the CAB, definitely the way to go. x0 -
Thanks all .
So I had a lousy nights sleep . When I finally woke up around 6.30 am I knew I had to move my backside . My phone appt. being 945 am and job club ( not mandatory ) , is at 10 am .
So after tidying around , printing off a couple of copies of my new cv, I headed off to Poole . Bus or train ? Mmm trains often get delayed but I went for train.
I had time on my side as planned . Nipped into costa coffee. Mobile rang early. Job coach . The service was slower than Brexit and as organised as the Southampton defence . So I did a commentary while the job coach was patient . He was actually very understanding . I mentioned in passing that I am going to court . Not as the accused .
Job coach is booking me for the work and health club. It's mandatory next year if I refuse now . Naturally I accepted as I have put myself back into work mode over last few weeks and always comply and do as I'm told . He did say they may not be able to help me .
My next interview is by phone ( my choice ) 945 on 5 December
Now off to job club ..0
