  • Back from job club . Packed when I went in, but what was bizarre was the chair I have been sitting on for the last 2weeks was waiting for me
    Anyhow , a good productive time .
Ben gave me advice regarding a couple of courses I am interested in.
These are ' build your confidence ' and a computer course to get me up to speed in the office environment . Courses are probably be going to be in jan 2020, although there are a couple of spaces for 2th of this month. The courses are mainly in Bournemouth or oakdale
There was one course ( Dont laught:o) for counselling that would have to be paid for should I decide to go for it . I'll do the other 2 and see how I get on. Ben couldn't get through to book as there is a reception trading day or something , so I'll try to book tomorrow .
So I'm basically trying anything course wise that might work, and seeing I have the time to do it , why not?

I mentioned earlier about the work and health programme .
Having looked a bit more into it, it's a place where I attend for people with various disabilities and for those who've been out of work for more than 2 years . Another 2 boxes ticked .
I still haven't heard about the boiler grant . I'll give it a few more days then phone up and see what's what ..

Definitely worth doing the courses, that's good.
  • Courses sound like a good investment long term so definitely go for it.
  • Good news on the courses. Definitely go for it. You are sounding a lot more positive lately. Wonderful.

  • Thanks all .
I just updated my universal credit journal , so they at least see that I'm trying . The job coaches have been pleasant to me so far but the longer I'm on u c I suspect things will change .
I just dug a lot deeper regarding the boiler grant . It's been scrapped.
Remind me not to vote anymore . Still , you probably know that I never count my chickens etc.
Regarding the boiler also, the chap that serviced it on emergency callout was going to give me a quote for a new boiler but hasn't got back to me . It's working fine since he serviced it . Is he giving me hard sell and it's fine for a long time , or is it as bad as he says ?
Annoying , but I think it's probably best to get a new one considering how much I've paid and what the maintenance co recommended which will cost a few hindered more .
Tomorrow I'll probably go to the cab . For someone not working I'm seeing people and am actually busy . Hopefully all my efforts will pay off..
  • So today was eventful ...
I phoned the college at oak dale and booked a couple of courses:
Road To Work : Boost Your Confidence
Oskdale Admissions ICT ..this will be a computer induction course leading me to hopefully directed onto another computer course which should help me brush up on office skills on a pc . I have experience of pc work , but if a course helps me expand then I shall take it .
Plus I'm committed now to attending the job club till July at Poole library as these courses are paid for .

I then went to CAB . Long wait which was expected no problem. I arranged a possible liquid lunch with my friend subject to waiting etc
So I saw two men ( one who I saw before last month). Another chap got involved as well . I made one mistake ..I didn't bring the report from the assessment that I had . This meant 2 things :a) I kept my patient friend waiting but things worked out socially B) I have to go back on Monday morning 10 am with missing report.
I didn't bring report because I thought that the latest letter from universal credit and my typed history would be enough .
On Monday , I should be fast tracked if I ask to see the 2 chaps that I saw today and hopefully it'll be sorted then and I'll be told if I have a case for appeal or not . Monday's session with mr trainer will have to be put back . At the end of the day as I mentioned before , I'm going by instruction and not refusing work but my capabilities are ltd and I hope that I have some ground to win an appeal.

So then I saw a possible London gig to go to in Feb . My local friend was on board with it . One of my other friends who we both know , may be . Turns out the gig is on a Sunday  That means trains not guaranteed etc . So looks like a no! It was for the frontman of rammsteins side project . Oh well .. Stab city is still the main hub for everything .
Speaking of south worst railways ..they're at it again . Still , at least the wheels came off for the fat controller bob crow . Small victory I guess :o

It's always worth getting up to date with office IT, as they change systems and things quite regularly. And with your loss of confidence after so long out of work, hopefully the other course will help with that.

Shame about the gig. I've missed so many gigs since moving to Wales, it's like Wales doesn't exist. Rammstein did actually play in Cardiff, a few years ago, but we didn't find out about it until after!

True about the courses gigervamp .
I watch a lot of you tube , and have seen a few of the outdoor gigs that rammstein have played on their current euro tour which will be going through next year also. I'm not really one for outdoor gigs anymore , but if they did play southampton next year as an additional date I'd have to go to it.
From what I've seen , I think the indoor gig I saw at the o2 a few years back was better.
This one off gig that I'm missing would've been good .
More modest tkt prices ( probably ) and more up close action etc
Having said all that, the weather could be snowy and cold in Feb :)
  • Sorry about the gig, hopefully other opportunities will arise.
Great about the CAB guys helping. Come Monday and you will know what to do next :)

  • Well , I has a day off from everything yesterday . Well, apart from using the washing machine most of the day . Normally I may use it say, once or twice a week and the most washes in a day is about 2
Yesterday I used it 4 times ! I don't want to over work it . Still no more for a few days ..
Speaking of tidying the flat . I'm almost there in terms of storage .
( well, as good as it's gonna get )
Yes, I can play my basses etc in the gas room . Yes it's tidier!
Yes, the living room is done bar the vacuuming
Yes , the bedroom is improved
Yes, the bathroom and kitchen are in great shape still .
However, I have a massive bag full of bedding for guests ..and the Qvc air bed ! Where do I stick them ? Don't ask . Apart from that..tidy flat

Yesterday I purchased a bizarre app . It's an app from Jean michel jarre . What it is , is an actual album . It comes with visuals like the visualiser on a Mac ( windows as well probably ).
The thing about this album is that everytime you open the app, you don't hear the same piece of music twice . Pretty impressive
I think eno did something similar . Anyway , it's mellow and ambient noise which I like .

Today, I got a message from universal credit . I have a "work and health programme outcome appointment " on Monday 18 Nov
I'm not overly anxious anymore . I just think that they have to help me get something that suits and not late hours in the middle of nowhere
Looking back at the ecg. I have not had any feedback from Mrs doctor so I put it down to my first real stressful situation in almost 3 years .

Shortly I will be seeing mr trainer , but I'll probably be doing it solo.
After that , I'll be meeting my friend for a liquid lunch .
    Have a good day ..
