he didn't peel the spuds so the leftovers are too lumpy for making farls ),
Oh lawks, I think I may need new spectacles as well as a new hearing aid..... I give you three guesses as to what I read that as. :D

WM load of Mr LW's clothes has been done and is now on A-frames over the bath. General tidy up and a binbag dance done.

I am feeling somewhat sorry for myself as I once again have the grandmother of all mouth ulcers.

I had hoped to do a module of my online dog behaviour training course, but Mr LW has decided he wants to watch "The Hobbit" yet again so concentrating on the course with the DVD playing is nigh on impossible. Plus Ronnie wants to pinch my end of the sofa.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Shortly after I posted earlier started to feel really bleeeugh and gene back in bed since. Light headed, achey and odd. DH on kiddies duty (building a snowman) and I'm concocting a random leftovers lunch x

Hello all! No snow here but balley cold! Please take care out in the snow YL x

Trying to muster enough energy to finish off [STRIKE]trowelling[/STRIKE] clearing out the caravan to make it clean enough for friends to stay over New Year.

Skids returned to Sussex yesterday but are coming back tomorrow for DH's birthday on NYE. It is also DSS's GF's 18th birthday, so I need to pop and get her a pressie at some point...

I have sorted the fridge, got rid of all the leftover party food and cleaned the shelves. Dogs and chickens both got lucky, but I resisted the last slice of chocolate gateau :A

Bathroom has been given the once over and I've just finished my cuppa, so need to crack on with the caravan. Joy.

Another day progressing at geological timescales here.

Himself bullied out of bed a couple of hours ago. Bits of potato skin picked out of leftover mash and farLs/tattie scones made. Himself now thinks I'm some sort of magician for being able to bind mash with flour and soda to create something edible, having thought I'd got something out of the freezer/a packet until I explained what they are. I pointed out that I've not made them before only because the concept of Leftover Mash is something quite alien to me.

The twisty bit of the main blind in the front room is clicking when turning and not opening the slats, so I decided against being stuck in the Stygian gloom of a rainy winter's day and relocated to the kitchen table, where I'm drinking tea and watching the Idiot Cat (who is sitting on the table, naturally) lose his faculties over the Fieldfares in the garden systematically stripping the Pyracanta of its berries.

The pot of cream Himself bought and obviously didn't put safely back in the fridge has upended itself over the contents of the lower part of the fridge, so I suggested that he took the drawer out and washed it in the bath.

I also dared to ask what happened to my hugely oversized, squishy supersoft cardie in the wash, as it's now 6 inches smaller all round and a bit crispy. I could have just glanced at the washing machine for an answer, as it's set to 60 degrees. This means that anything else of mine that was in at the same time is probably too small now. Why do my clothes shrink but his don't? It's bad enough having to deal with the lack of proper pockets and silly sizing/cut with no belt loops, but even his t-shirts and jumpers keep their size when practically boil washed and then tumble dried. He said something about my putting things out separately when they require special treatment and he'll follow explicit instructions when given them. I might have muttered something about how about you going out to work fulltime and I'll do things properly.

Himself has therefore retreated into the spare room/studio to twiddle about on guitar and I am debating whether to vacuum. He (and the cats) hate that.

ETA: Just spotted another whining social media update from the Stinking Ex Lodger. This time she's begging for somebody to give her a job - apparently, she's willing to do gardening (does that include spraypainting things to be glittery for stage props all over somebody's patio, kitchen wall, outdoors furniture and edible plants like she did here?) in the middle of winter when nothing really grows (I suppose somebody could pay her to go out into their garden in her stilettos and fake fur coat - she doesn't do sensible shoes or clothing - and pick up slugs and snails with her two inch long acrylics), cooking (I'm not sure anybody will pay for overboiled pasta with 8oz of pregrated cheese over it and the remainder of the pasta left to fester in the pan), and, best of all, washing, ironing and cleaning!

Somehow I don't think she's going to be directing them to me for references.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Hope you are OK atb.

Feeling flat. Not looking foward to real life starting again. In fact I am dreading it. Everyone here a bit crabby, think we are all getting bored and sick of each other! DS1 has just said he might go back to work early.

JoJo I can sympathise, this is why I will not allow anyone else to wash my clothes.

Off to ask DH again if he will strip the meat off the turkey so I can make a curry. We have had a bit of a chat about him helping more and he says he will do more if I allow him to do things his own way. He probably has a point but I still dont think he really gets it.

Yayyy - weekend :T. And the kitchen has not disappeared under a plethora of recycling and dirty pots, which means I can spend time doing other flying instead of hours of WUDUPA :o.

Binmen came today and took general waste plus cardboard/plastics - that bin was full to the brim, now I can start to fill it again :T.

All I'm doing tonight is putting money in DS's birthday card - he's 25 tomorrow  and sorting through a pile of paper whilst listening to TOTP 1984 - every little helps :).

I think I'll declutter a can of cider at the same time ;)

    Keep warm and dry.

    I didn't

I have done everything off my list today (plus a few small extras and 3 extra WM loads)[STRIKE] except the last few bits of tidying in the study bedroom - I have started, so I'll finish[/STRIKE]. ETA: now all complete :D
DH is out at war games club this evening so I keep *having* to stop to play with Rosie and her squeaky Santa toy.

However, I need to pop down to the corner shop for a bar of dark chocolate to make the filling for the squidgy chocolate log. Guess what happened to the one that was in the larder over Christmas :o My jeans are beginning to feel tight, so I must get back on plan after the weekend and try to declutter about 10 lb before Easter - it's doable.

I almost misread that word too, LW :rotfl:
Hope you feel better soon, atb.
Take care if you're driving tonight, YL.

    Hi ladies

I know I’m in I’m out I’m in I’m out but I’m going to try a bit to catch up on life

Working over full time hours we need some more routine & moneysaving ways as we decided to get married next year so I need to save some money to pay for it

Kitchen needs a good sort out so I can meal plan better and loose weight.

Starting with my flylady core principles from tomorrow, baby steps, I won’t promise to catch up on everyone’s lives daily but I am looking forward to the routine
One day I might be more organised...........

Welcome home lil-me- and congratulations x

Have done more washing than Widow Twankey. Have removed cat from pile of dry washing waiting to be ironed. Have paired socks and stuck on radiator to air off. Have done various bits of sorting and rehoming. DS's room is clean. DD has a freshly-made bed. Have made my bed; will change it tomorrow. Have used christmas gift bubble wrap to make cover for rabbit hutch to protect him from draughts/cold. Have taken loads of stuff to recycling bin - that goes on Friday...it will be brimming.
Am irritated by parent who has asked on FB page if INSET days have been set for 2018-2019. We are on holiday and it's Friday night..because I am admin on the page the messages come through to my phone.

Kazwookie - can't you not top up by e voucher? I have to - for reasons I cannot fathom I cannot top mine up from my bank account so I have to buy a top up..
