    Done :).

I've also: replaced the scrunchy thing in the bathroom binning the decrepit one; binned 2 pairs of more-hole-than-pants pants (must make a note to purchase replacements :o); taken a pile of clean clothes upstairs and sorted it ready to be put away- not dumped it on my ottoman; emptied the bin-bag that was under the football on the kitchen floor :o.

'Put football in shed' looks so innocuous but actually heralds the beginning of the 'process' which will end with 'hang curtains at dining end of kitchen window'. Currently said window is un-get-to-able :( and hang curtains has been on my Toots list for [STRIKE]many years[/STRIKE] a long time :o.

In case you are interested, the bin-bag contained: an unused chip pan; a milk pan; a saucepan; assorted pan lids; a sieve (I knew I had one somewhere!) and a roll of kitchen foil... all somewhat dusty. I knew the saucepans that I do use must have come with lids!!! - just need to work out which lids belong to which pans, then: (once washed) chip pan, milk pan and saucepan (if decent) can go to CS; sieve, kitchen roll and appropriate lids will be put away for future use. Any surplus lids will be binned :T

Step 1 towards curtains in the dining end of the kitchen chez Roundtuit. My goal is to have them hung by Easter - if the thought of three months (and that's just the beginning :o) posts of contents of bin-bags/ boxes and their destination is too much for you perhaps we can reach a mutually acceptable compromise. It's more flinging than flying but the flung has to be done to create space for flying. I hope that's acceptable as I really need you lovely ladies with me on this journey :o.

Lunch now - beans on toast with a fried egg on top.

    Back later

:grouphug: to FBO x Sorry all your troubles have come at the darkest time of year.

    :bdaycake:
    Happy Birthday to roundtuit's DS

I have been flying since 6.30. Lots achieved, including mending the lining of one of our bedroom curtains with masking tape!

Still a few more things to be done, but most of my list now consists of flower arranging, cooking and outside sweeping, all of which I enjoy :)

Why does it take DH so long to do a bit of hoovering? Probably because he is a grump this morning. Don't know why - he had an hour's more sleep than I did.

Another one here with things to ebay, but I hate the system.

I may not get back on the thread again until tomorrow evening when all the family have gone home.

Valli, it will be a parent updating their diary for 2018 as you instructed us all to earlier in the week!!.

It is probably one of us, following the list.. lmao!
I’m going to do f**k all flying today. We’re waiting to hear about my cousin and I just don’t care. I’ll make sure DH is fed, then I’m going to hibernate on the sofa.

It’s horrible, but I think it would be kinder if she doesn’t survive. Barring a miracle, she’ll be trapped in a body that won’t work and she’s only 30 - her birthday is on Monday.

Pigpen I need to get myself organised to sell. I have bags of clothes but nothing I list ever seems to get bid on. What’s the trick?

the trick.. loads of pics, cheap start price.. it gets more views and encourages bidding.. and accurate postage.. don't forget ebay take 10% of your postage cost and paypal take a chunk too so don't leave yourself out of pocket

Hoping your miracle comes xxxx Failing that miracle a painfree peaceful passing for her xxxx

    1000 emails sent..

NOW can I get a cuppa? .. and go to the loo?? ..

I need to repaint my nails.. I had 4 fixed yesterday so only 6 have polish so I need to strip those and think I might do my tootsies as well, they look vile.

    jobs for today..

    1 .. [STRIKE]send all those hideous emails[/STRIKE]
    2 .. [STRIKE]fiddle with laundry[/STRIKE]
    3 .. [STRIKE]flatten and bin more boxes[/STRIKE]
4 .. Sort baby toys.. all the rattles and tat can be sold on the local selling pages hopefully.. Twinkle WILL play with her new things!
    5 .. List 15 items on ebeast
6 .. [STRIKE]cook that lump of gobble in the fridge before it runs away[/STRIKE]
7 .. cool, slice and freeze gobble for later devouring.
    8 .. clear OH's chair
9 .. knit the rest of the body of baby cardy
10.. if I can be bothered/have time/get round to it.. clear out and restack fridge.

washing removed from TD slightly damp and ironed. DD made some comment which I have now forgotten (DS and I are much amused by that meme which sorts people into how long will they stay mad at you -
we are both Librans - i think it says 30 seconds, in our case it's stunningly accurate :rotfl:) so I acidly pointed out that not only had she brought her holiday washing (she went skiing) but also her Uni washing. I dont mind doing it, I just would like to be appreciated. There is no point me falling out with anyone I never remember why I am mad!

ETA appreciation in form of DW being emptied. YES PLEASE!

I don't know what it says about Virgoans - but I dreamed last night that I had a child pinned to the wall by the throat - said child was DS's nemesis at pre-school and primary school...DS is 25 years old today :rotfl: So if it says Virgoans never forget I'd have to agree. (Just for the record I have NEVER pinned a child to the wall by the throat in real life)

Change of plan: after washing them I decided to fling the chip pan, milk pan, saucepan and sieve: they are now in the bin :T Four saucepan lids (2 designs - 2 of each) have been washed and await trial to see which are kept and which are flung, and the foil + box has been wiped and put away.

And the pair of DS's shoes which were under the bin-bag? Flung with DS's blessing as they'd had it! So...I now have a space on my kitchen floor size 11 shoes long and 2 shoes wide, and I'm that much nearer having curtains up:T

Just decluttered DS to Lincoln for his birthday celebrations: he'll be back some time tomorrow. Thank you ionafan for his birthday wishes.

WM has just finished, so I'm going to put the towels on the airer and have a peek in the next bag that needs sorting.

  • Anybody got a spare cattleprod?

Himself needs to get the **** up out of bed. I lose count of the number of times he's opted to stay in bed during daylight hours and then complains that he thinks he's got SAD and can't sleep at night. Of course he feels rubbish, he doesn't see daylight for weeks on end, eats next to nothing/rubbish and doesn't do any exercise.

I have scooted around the kitchen, wiped over the bathrooms, fed the cats, delivered him a rocket fuel strength coffee, attempted to fix the main blind and am planning to bake some Bara Brith. With him. The latter is because a) he likes cake, b) I quite like baking, even though I don't actually like sweet things much, but I can do fruit cake, c) it will get him out of bed and d) I know we need some dried fruit (as I am doing bird cakes later) and sending him out for the fruit gets him out of the house.

On a positive note, I got roped into a song writing session with him last night where I didn't feel the need to murder him after ten minutes and the writing actually got somewhere. He's now complaining, having gone back and worked on it some more, that he doesn't know where to go next, so I've suggested stepping away from the studio and try something visual - sticking in words or phrases, etc, onto a big sheet of paper and scribbling to see if something springs out at the end. I've already demanded :) a co writing credit, as I have changed the chord progression and thinned out the numbers used 'It's NOT going to be prog now, is it?' 'No, you don't need to change the time signature, how about just change the feel from a march to 4/4?', 'How about going to the tonic rather than the relative minor?' and showing him why exactly my power chords sound different to his 'because I'm a sloppy guitarist'.

It's got potential, this song. If I can steer him away from massively over complicating it.

Anyhow, bucket of coffee consumed, I'm off upstairs to haul him out.

I might actually get something done now.. Twinkle been down for her nap.. WM x2, TD on, Gobble in SC and several biscuits decluttered.. I too have decided there needs to be less of me.. I am going to see if I can manage to lose some lard my hip might feel better.. even a little bit better would be good.. the best thing is, I can't exercise due to the dodgy hip and I can't eat less because I migth actually die.. so this will be interesting..

Flingage... and lift off .. these butt-rockets are great! Jojo.. get some!

Another amusing anecdote Jojo... my cousins partner was the same.. he ended up at hospital being assessed for sleep apnoea after complaining to his GP he was awake all night.. the diagnosis was.. he is a lazy turd and needed to get up and do something other than sleep all day and lay in bed awake at night.. haha

That's another bag emptied and the contents re-homed (complete pack of playing cards, couple of carrier bags, pencils, set square, safety pins) or binned (broken pens, receipts dated 2014, bottle of body wash (I assume it was opened in 2014).

Just a extension plug thingy to find a home for, a phone contract/ box which I need to ask DS if is still relevant or not. I suspect not as it's dated 2014 but I want to be sure before I shred/ recycle and a tie to wash and re-home in DS's room.

That's enough for today. I'm now getting outside a cup of coffee and some shortbread as a reward for starting the flingage. More tomorrow :T

    Have a good evening ladies

Oh lawks, I think I may need new spectacles as well as a new hearing aid..... I give you three guesses as to what I read that as.

    Me too about the farl!
Feeling flat. Not looking foward to real life starting again. In fact I am dreading it. Everyone here a bit crabby, think we are all getting bored and sick of each other! DS1 has just said he might go back to work early.

Absolutely normal, so I hope things perk up when the festive season is over. It's massively over-hyped imho.

I've finally shaken off the cold and had a decent night's sleep at last, so I'm feeling a lot better today. Lodger's bed changed, shower room cleaned, turkey stripped and frozen for another day, house tidied, second load of clothes bedding and towels in the WM, TD will be doing sterling service later, smelly dogmat washed and I've had a shower.

Mostly Christmas has spent marvelling at how Devil Cat has kept going. He's currently watching goldfinches feast on nyger seeds, and washing. He's still using his litter tray, eating, washing and dosed up to the eyeballs on all sorts of drugs. How he's maanging to want to carry on is beyond me, but we are aware that he's sleeping a lot and doesn't ask to go outside any more. We hoped he'd make it as far as his birthday (early December), then Christmas, now New Year and secretly - OH's birthday on 6 January. Whatever pain-free vibes everyone has been wishing him have worked, so thank you everyone.
    Better is good enough.
