I have discovered a glitch with my Tomtom watch
I came back a walk this morning and because I was going straight back out again I didn't pause my watch while at my puter checking emails. I had to answer one straight away so I was working at the keyboard for about 5 minutes and my watch clocked up quarter of a mile.

It would seem the proximity to my desktop PC has an effect on the watch.

If your watch is using GPS to work out distance then that will just be an accumulation of GPS errors and nothing to do with the PC

I continue to be amazed at my progress with the number of steps I am recording.
I have kept records since before 2015 using Google fit on my phone.
I thought that by the beginning of 2018 I would have difficulty in continuing to increase my monthly step count but to my amazement I have set a number of personal best monthly numbers and am well on the way to a good increase in steps in 2018 against EVERY previous year.

I am not conscious I have changed my attitude to walking significantly but the stats say differently.

My conclusion is that the very fact of monitoring my daily progress has in a subtle way changed me.

As I have said before I measure my numbers against me. My fellow competitor is only me.

I am mostly doing 132 - 137 miles a month, so over my target of 125 miles and plenty of banked miles in case I have a bad month at some point.

765.1 miles for the year for me.
Think I missed a week or so. But that gets me up to date.

Finally a nearly full training training week for me so 44.6 miles run.
Brings me up to 807 miles for the year.
