Post no. 36 on this thread from Zandoni is probably due to appear any minute now - coming soon to a thread from us....
Goodness knows - it's the only thread he's been posting on since 24 December.....:rotfl::rotfl:
Only because some people keep feeding the trollMortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

I’ll think you’ll find that the majority still go for the traditional way of the woman taking the mans name. Why bother to marry if you’re not prepared to change your name.
That's pretty well exactly what my mother in law said when we married. I excused her because she was born in 1916 - what's your excuse?0

That was hilarious, Britain’s Got Talent beckons.
You are proving many of my points though, so thanks for that.
The stalking bit is a bit weird though.0

Did any of the women who wouldn't change their name collect a nice big engagement ring?
No, I didn't. I wear a small ring on that finger that was bought as a birthday present. I'll only wear a wedding ring because I have my Nan's wedding ring, which is the perfect size for my fingers.
I earn significantly more money than my partner. Does than mean I should have bought him a big expensive ring instead? :rotfl:0

I am 100% behind equality but sometimes it goes too far. If I was in a burning building and a female firefighter wanted to carry me down a ladder, I think I'd panic.Women don't have the physical strength to do this type of job. But I'd happily fly around the world with a female pilot as this job doesn't take that type of strength.
Some women don't have the physical strength. Equality isn't about allowing an unequipped female to become a firefighter, it's about not discriminating against someone who can pass the same tests as a male firefighter simply because they're female. No of course not, but some are.
And some men are misogynistic, wife-beating neanderthals. That doesn't make it any more right to make sweeping generalisations about all men than it is to make them about all women.0

Yes lot's of traditional things have eroded away but the majority of the people in this country want the same surname when they get married. That may change in the future or it may not..
But, just because the majority "may" want it - doesn't mean everybody HAS to. I took my husband's name, I have friends who took their wife's name.As a man it can get very confusing, when we meet some extreme feminists who may get insulted if you hold the door open for them.
It must be the way you hold the door, I've never met anyone offended by good manners. I hold the door for men and women.I am 100% behind equality but sometimes it goes too far. How can equality go too far? You're either physically capable of being a firefighter (or any other job) or you're not. Doesn't matter if you're male or female. I know women who could and men who couldn't be firefighters.0
