Can't opt-out of statement emails and texts from Lloyds?

I have a credit card from Lloyds with paperless communication. Each month I receive both an email and an SMS telling me my statement is ready. I don't need this, I see it when I am using online banking. I could not find any setting online for this, the only information was to text "STOP" to 63338 which I have done but this has made no difference. This appears only to be for current account messages.
Is it not possible to opt-out of these messages? Will switching to paper statements make them go away?

No - I get paper statements from Lloyds and I get a text a few days after making a payment.
Doesn't bother me to be honest.0 -
I can't be of much help either, the only account I still receive paper statements for is my Lloyds Duo Avios credit card. I don't receive any email or text alerts from Lloyds however.0

I would like to get Lloyds to stop sending me emails full stop, I am fully un-paperless (if there is such a term), but it seems that giving Lloyds an email address has given them carte blanche to send me unwated emails which I can't opt out of. Is there any department which I can contact to get this done?0

So we have one who gets texts and one who gets nothing along with paper statements. As there is no official text opt-out I will switch to paper statements and see what happens. Waste of time and money for Lloyds as I will bin them immediately but hey ho.
Email doesn't bother much. It is just odd I only ever receive these "your statement is ready" for my credit card and not for any other account, maybe there is some legal requirement for them to do this. Anyway email is easy enough to handle and it is also a less urgent form of communication, it is not disruptive like a text. I don't want my bank texting me unless it is something important or urgent. It is bizarre I can opt-out of marketing texts but not these. It is bizarre I can opt-out of more pressing text messages concerning my current account like failed payment or going into overdraft but I can't opt out of a routine message that tells me to view a statement I have already viewed and which will automatically be paid by direct debit.0 -
Have you perhaps tried talking to them? Radical, I know, in the days of doing everything on line0

I get paper statements as stated - but I pay online using their internet banking.
Perhaps the other poster pays in person at a bank?0 -

Yes I have. Multiple times. Not solved and unlike other banks phoning is the only communication they offer that's why I ask here. Thanks for the helpful comment.0 -

I don't understand your comment. Are you suggesting the communication is based on payment method? That doesn't sound right.0 -

Yes I am.
Do you get a text every time you pay for something with either a debit or credit card?
So if he pays his credit card physically in a branch using a debit card or a cheque or even cash I don't think he will get a text.
I get a text because I pay online.0
