Couldn't carry on doing it when I went to university last September, and it's taken me almost 8 months to find another job! lol

I'm interested in this, and have quite a lot of technical experience. I'm just wondering, £6.20 / hr is pretty poor pay for a technical support person, can someone explain how the metrics work, and how much more money you are likely to earn ?

    Thanks.

I think its paid out at 5 and 10% or something similar of earnings. Paid out one a month. Pretty much depends on your hours you work as to how much u get.
Currently measured on 95/100% attendance and the quality of your calls when marked.

Rates are low because there are far too many IT people chasing too few jobs at the moment. Rates for 1st line helpdesk, which this job appears to be, range from minimum wage to £15/hr IF you are lucky.

I have seen/know up to 700 people apply for one job similar to this

Last time I checked you can get a performance related monthly bonus of upto 15% .

And the rates are low because you are working from home, therefore pay no travel/commuting costs of running a car/taking the train/bus for example and because apart from your own PC all the equipment you need is supplied to you for free, unlike the Arise homeworking job where you have to buy and sort out everything yourself.
