suvari, im in my second day of training, most of the things asked of you in the interview are that you can work any 5 out of 7 days of the week so it could probably be every saturday and sunday if that is the rota you are given. maybe the job isnt for you if you couldnt commit to that. (on the bright side it might only be 4 hours that you would be working them days).

im currently using a 15.4 inch laptop connected to the router via an ethernet cable. i am using a 4 year old toshiba satellite laptop and its working fine, no problems so far.

i did try to use my brand new toshiba satellite and it didnt work at all, the workbooth cd would not boot up.

if the screen size isnt right they might be able to give you cheat codes to run the workbooth cd.

    Hey,

As I siad in my thread, I don't have a problem working weekends, but working every single Saturday and Sunday without a shift change would be a problem for me. I have been told a few different things by different people. Some say that the shift schedule changes every week others say it stays the same, which is why I wanted to exisiting TeleTech employee to reply because they would know what the shift patterns are and whether or not they change or stay the same.

I don't want to go through with 3-4 weeks of training o then be told at the end that I will have to work every Saturday and Sunday evening for the entire time I am employed by TeleTech.

I don't mind woring every other weekend of something like that, but not every single Saturday night!

Is there anyone that works for TeleTech that can comment on this please?

Hope the training goes well for you, how are you finding it?

My interview is at 4 and the mettingplace said my OS is not supported.

    Using Win7. Detected as NT.

Not enough time to install XP :(
  • I'm on Win 7 and it works fine, ignore the test. :)

SimIsOnTheUp, I think we're in the same training group, if your real name is easily determined from your username that is. ;)
  • suvari why dont you just ask at the interview stage, it would make a lot more sense

I did ask at interview stage and at the training stage and no one can give a direct answer.

You obviously don't know the answer to the question as you are new, which is why I said an exisiting TeleTech employee would be able to hopefully tell me.

Well, that could have gone better *_*.

Got nervous and talked way to fast in our 1to1. Ended up lasting a whole 90 seconds *_*.

Duchy how in the heck did you wangle all that time off!! Now very jealous!!!

Pay is currently £6 ph until you get signed off probation when it goes up to £6.20, if you do a 5 hr shift or longer you get a 15 min paid break, also if you're doing a 7hr or longer shift (I think!) you get a 15 min paid break and a half hr unpaid break. You also get 12 minutes of personal time during your shift (ie loo/fag breaks etc)

The calls come through directly. announced by a little noise in your ear and tbh it depends on what day of the week and time of day as to how busy we get. Saturday nights (thanks to X Factor) tends to be a bit quieter although it does vary from day to day. The period just after xmas was VERY busy last year (particularly boxing day) as everyone got a new laptop/smart phone/xbox/ps3 etc etc for xmas and needed a hand setting up the wireless connection - thank goodness I'm off this year!!! lol

There are a few of us who keep an eye on this thread and although some of us happen to be jammy so and so's and have most of the rest of the month off (still no idea how you did that!!!) some of us will still be working :p and can keep you up to date, and as the others have said we'll keep an eye on here anyways :)

If you have holidays left to take get your t/l to put in for them now. They are trying to get everyone's hours used up, otherwise you will lose them. I only got mine approved a few days before my holiday started. You must have noticed how short we are atm?

You need to be available Sat and Sun, but occasionally your days and shifts may change depending on business needs. If you have a good reason why you can't do Sat or Sun, they are ok with it as long as you tell them before hand. Just saying "I don't want to work weekends" won't go down too well....;)
