I phoned support today and the guy told me that I had failed the WBCD and said it was because of my monitor resolution (1920x1080) so he gave me a few cheat codes to try and eventually after one of them it came up on his system that I had passed. He said now just to wait on the email giving details about training which was supposed to arrive tomorrow (today, 26th) but I recieved it yesterday (thursday) from a guy called Andrew, welcoming me to TT@Home and just to reply to his email confirming that I have sent off all my forms, can commit to the training hours etc. So all done now, Havent received an email from Experian, so I am just waiting now 'till Monday to start the training :)

Lmao yeah the 26th sorry getting all my dates mixed up!! Yeah Andy is sound, particularly good at giving out 'Andy breaks' lol!! Training can be hard going at times but there is plenty of support around when you're done :)

Well, I have a telephone interview on the 30th so one would assume I've applied <3

Not sure what you are worrying about then :)

You aren't going to get a training course place until after the interview anyway and much nicer to get Christmas out the way first :santa2:

(Although my reply was to Lou not to you !! )

Yea, just this whole working 4 weeks unpaid at poundland for "Work Experience" thing I was hoping to skip. I really want the job, just would be awesome if training had started before Christmas.

So, presuming I haven't lied on my CV/Application (Which I did not), and long as I don't forgot how to open internet explorer the interview should go fine?

    -edit

Why are you waiting for Experian? Do we need a credit check for this job? My credit rating is so shafted I can't even get a contract phone *_*>
  • yes part of the application process is getting a credit check from experian...... this is paid for by teletech, they just send you a link that you need to fill in.

its i think because you can sometimes be working with customers sensitive information.
  • Pantho -

Try not to worry too much, and just go for it!

I'm about to start my third week of training this afternoon, having also filled out the Experian 'Background Check' form online two weeks ago.

Apparently, TeleTech are more interested in things like 'unsettled' CCJ's and 'undischarged' Bankruptcies.

I have 6 Defaults, and so am very worried that they might drop me before I 'go live' with calls next week.

However, as a colleague rightly pointed out, I think it's unlikely that they'd pay for the training / go through all the hassle of hiring someone, only to get rid of them at a later date.

So, I'm assuming / hoping (!) that TeleTech have already done the 'background check', that it's gone through ok, and that I'm (as per usual) overworrying :)

    I'll keep you posted.

    Good Luck,

    Sim.

If you have done the training you have the job. If they don't intend to employ you, you don't get invited for training.

Don't get too worried about the credit check. Most of us haven't got fantastic credit records in the current climate. And we rarely deal with financial information apart from the odd occasion when having to take a card payment for faulty equipment.

As long as you can find your way round a pc in a reasonable manner and aren't an axe murderer, you're usually fine. :D

    Cheers for this.

I'm worried though that TT are yet to finish the Experian checking, as they are still yet to hand out the 'Chordiant ID's'.. (Nesting next week).

Very worried that my 'Defaults' on my credit file will result in them changing their minds before I 'go live' :o

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Sim.

Best advice is to stop worrying about it as Sanity says they wouldn't put you on training unless most checks had come back....Worry about it IF it happens-saves you worrying twice -and you'll probably skip they worrying altogether ;)

P.S. I think Sanity is an axe muderer tho TBH ;)
Me I'd just like to take an axe to a certain other company's testing systems at times :j
