  • Thanks Dory! looking forward to joining you other fine people!

As for questions no its just asking them to confirm they have recieved stuff relating to experian but I just realised they wait until they get
the completed paperwork back and then forward it onto experian, plus the experian stuff doesnt go directly to them i.e the online credit check (I found out by ringing Experian lol) the main stuff HR are after are the section 1 paperwork, which is the usual stuff plus the solicitor identification section.

so how long have you worked for them Dory and how do you find your typical evening\shift? are you doing 20 hours p/w as well?
and what shifts are you currently on i.e 7-11pm , I presume mine will be similar if not the same to yours.

Ok I'm curious ... What hours are they getting you newbies to work? Is it just 20? And do you have to work Sat and Sun? I see lots of newbies on the new rota on Mon-Fri! Being the stuck up cow I am ... lol ... I feel I should have earnt the privaledge of working Mon-Fri at times from being there for years!
  • Its just 20 hours and yeah we have to work saturday and sun, training is mon-fri 4-8pm for 3 weeks , then one week of nesting, will find out in training what my proper shifts will be. Although we are expected to be available anyday we work 5 out of 7 so one week we might get sat, sun off the next well you get the idea lol

ooh Rebekah your a feisty one hehe

Its a minimum of 20 hours, you may be able to do more if you like once you have been there a little while.

You will be expected to do weekends if needed for some time, depends on the needs of the client.

Work hours are currently 4-11 Mon to Fri and 3-11 Sat and Sun and we have daytime hours available quite a lot during the summer.

At the moment, its usually very busy every night, but don't worry, there is plenty of help available for new agents from existing staff.

I have been there 3 years and am still managing ok, but don't be surprised if you get frustrated from time to time. We all do...;)
  • Hi Sanity yeah will likely do more than 20+ hours after a while but my contract states 20 hours so if i was to go by the shifts i would be doing 35 + hours. It clearly states on my contract 20 hours, part time but these hours may increase later (fair enough). so after training
will I be on 7-11pm for a while?

It depends on the hours you have told them you are available. When you come out of training and go into nesting I think the majority do 4-8 to begin with. If you have told them you will be available 7-11 then that is likely to be the hours after that. They will obviously vary them as its no good having, say, 35 people start and all of them doing the same 4 hour period. Certain staffing levels have to be met per every 30 minute period, as TT promise the client a certain number of agents will be available for those time slots.

If you have another job, or child care issues, that might prevent you from doing hours before 7pm that will be taken into account.
  • Thanks Sanity! I told them Im available whenever so will see what happens with my shifts.

I have one more question: how long did it take for your workbooth disc to arrive? it will of been 5 working days by tommorrow , the HR person said yesterday it should arrive today but it hasnt, I guess it will arrive tommorrow I hope. I went on the livechat hirepoint service and they said they would send me another just in case and that would take 5 days lol its annoying because teletech HR belfast now has all my completed paperwork but I just have to wait for this so I can run the workbooth disc (which should be fine since ive recently upgraded everything and Im using a hardwired ethernet connection from my 4 port router to my pc) then I should begin training on the 18th of October.

You should call and make sure they sent another. Everyone should have 2 working discs anyway, always make sure you have a backup disc.

Don't worry too much, it will arrive before your training starts.
  • Whats the number to ring? I used livechat and they said they were sending me another disc, also is the phone number free phone?

    thanks

    Ooooh fresh meat ;)

Good luck to everyone going into training . Any questions there's a few of us around who can answer the questions about the job itself (I've worked there nearly three years)

wolffather I find I need to use a usb to ethernet adaptor on my set up (same as yours) to get Workbooth to connect-so if when the disc arrives you have problems -don't panic-that's the usual solution for those that don't connect first time.
