  • Hi,

I just applied for the Teletech @home program last night, but I am a bit confused about exactly what the role is, so I was wondering if anyone here can shed some light on it, ie is it just telephone tech support, how much do they generally pay etc.

Also, it was getting late so I decided to save my application when I got the Matchpoint bit because that is supposed to take over 45 minutes to complete. I got an email through with a link to Matchpoint, and I completed the tests today, but how do I know if I have completed the main application form bit because there wasn't a link back to that and there doesn't seem to be a login button on the original website....

Yes telephone tech support for a well known ISP. Pay is £6p/h but this afaik is under review.

I woudln't worry too much about the application if its sent you the tests or if your worried go back and do it again. Might be worth dropping one of the help people a pm. There used to be a facitlity you can chat on a little box for help there. Not sure if thats still there. Or drop them an email. I'm going back over 2 years since I did it so may have changed though!

Not something i'm familiar with. Might be an idea to contact them. They sent me a USB ethernet adapter as I was having other issues. Dunno whether they will sent you one too.

I get that issue when starting up Workbooth - for some reason it just won't obtain an IP address. So I just normally have to restart my PC before the start of my shift and it works fine again.
Like RebekahR said, try getting in touch if it doesn't seem to work properly, they're pretty helpful with tech issues.
  • Hi,

I applied for teletech@home a few weeks ago and they have now come back and asked me to do an interview tomorrow, but apparently it is going to last 2 hours. Can anyone give me any insight into what kinds of things they might ask so I can do some preparation as I have no idea what it is likely to involve at the moment.

    Thanks

seventies child got no idea what it could involve, can only assume they will tell us about the position and maybe ask competency based questions...

    Hi Shan,

I got the same email and tomorrow was the only date for me as well, luckily I have juggled a couple of things and am going to do it. I was jus a bit concerned that it was going to be 2 hours without any indication of what the questions will be like.

I'm sure there will be other interview dates, though I did initially try to get onto the live help to ask the question but it just says it is under construction, though I have used it before and it was working fine!
