I went through the application process and got offered the job and was waiting on the admissions pack being sent along with the workbooth cd. Received an email tonight to say the client has cancelled the training classes and non are envisaged to start for a few months, if at all. So it seems that this was a waste of time

My sister just received an email too.It states that the position has been postponed and they do not have any dates for future classes at this time but will contact her when a position is available as she passed the interview.

Bad for my sister as she has never worked before nor has any qualifications so at the age of 29 she is finding it impossible to get a job.

Good for me though as she was going to work from my house until she can get her own landline, broadband and laptop :rotfl: At least I don't have to have her working from here now:j

I'm in the same position, I went through all the interview calls and got accepted. I was then told that all the documents & workbooth CD would be sent out in the post. I waited for it and it didn't arrive.

Received an email tonight stating the client has cancelled the training and they can't see it going ahead again for atleast a few months.

Surely if they have a contract with this client this wouldn't of happened, makes me think perhaps they did this to get people ready for their list for when they do have a job position going.

This has been a waste of everyones time, especially us who turned down other job interviews etc thinking they had secured a job with Teletech. Really not impressed. Would like to hear from others who are in this position if you have been gave any more info on the situation.

Why are some saying it's been cancelled and there won't be any training for a few months while others are saying it's been postponed?Should say the same really.

Just had to call my sister to tell her and she's actually quite teary about it :( thought she finally had a job and could be proud and change her life
:( feel quite bad about being glad she won't have to use my house for work now

this is an extract from the email received last night

Unfortunately the Client has made the decision at this time to cancel the class
and they have not informed us of any reschedule dates. I don't expect any
classes for several months however I would like to keep your name on file for
any positions that may become available in the future.

I sincerely appreciate the time and effort you have invested in your application
and if a position does arise (within the next few months) you will not need to
start at the first step you will be able to pick up the process where is left
    off.

As I said, very disappointing after being accepted and expecting to start training on the 15th March

Tell her to keep her chin up. The position will deffo reopen. (People are always leaving!) It's quite quiet at the moment with the new intake of agents but I guarentee a few weeks or months and maybe half will have had enough and left and the position will reopen up again. I would say almost certainly not a case of will it but a case of when ...

Nicely said! :) I do always wonder these days that when you hear people are leaving the question comes up as to why? Years ago ymany people chopped and changed jobs at most levels but the emphasis in recent years has been to nurture and retain people. In the case of TT it's not a free thing to train people. I'd however think that doing this type of job is something one needs to consider before doing it. It requires commitment and feeling okay with dealing with (depending on the role) from disgruntled people, often with little knowledge on the tech side to an open mind on the sales section. I would say that when I did the training everyone was friendly and should my circumstances have not changed I'd probably have still been with them.

Ok guys I have just heard through a meeting that the next intake of new agents for training will be in 2 months time. So that will be May/June.

    Hi Rebekah,

Is that 100% confirmed or just rumours going about great if it is? Usually those emails and letter you get when applying for job that they will hold your details for 6-12 months and contact you if jobs are available are standard letters and never get contacted.

I really hope this works out will we need to go through the interview process again?

    Thanks.

    I'm not sure what you mean-if something is announced in a work meeting-it isn't a rumour-it's an announcement !

(Well it is where I work anyway.......Oh yeah that be the same place as Beka ;) )

In the past they haven't reinterviewed but simply drawn from the pool of already interviewed candidates-be a bit of a waste of time doing it all again. Of course new candidates will still be interviewed so you'll be competing for jobs with them too I suppose. That's how it has worked for the last two years -can't see much changing this time around.

I think some people also think working from home will suit them but when they try it-find it doesn't for a variety of reasons.
