I emailed one of the presenters and they told me they have no idea when they will be taking new people on again.

At the moment there is a restructure of the department going on. They are after a reduction in agents. The way they are doing this is basically those that leave will not be replaced. Therefore I would say it will be a long time until any are replaced. This time of year tends to be quieter any way and they have asked current agents to reduce hours.

Does anyone who works for teletech work for more than 20 hours per week? Are they usually more hours available than 20 per week? Also, anyone ever got promoted to TL or got a raise in pay?

    Thanks.

  • Hi there

It is no scam - I worked for them for a about a year a couple of years ago, providing Technical Support to the Broadband Customers of a large blue chip UK company.

My contract was 30 hours a week - they paid promptly - the work was hard though, back to back calls dealing with stressed out people who could not access the internet.

You really earned your money !

Heya - Yes people have got promoted to TL. But don't expect it. There are people that have been there a long time, genuinely worked hard, applied, took training, and still not got promoted yet. TT at home has been going for 3 years in September coming and no one has had a pay rise. Afaik this is now under review - most likely due to the fact that we will be on minimum pay come October when the minimum wage rises.

TBH It's a good job - you work damn hard, get stressed to the point of hating the company at times and also the customers. I've been in tears more than once. But that as happened in other jobs too lol. And i'm a girl ;-) Just go in with your eyes open don't expect too much. My view is go in, work as hard as I can, don't get mixed up in too much red tape if you can, and go home. You work, they pay for that. All I ask for is to be paid - I don't want a promotion. If you really would like to be promoted at some time in the future it "may" not be the job for you. Where as you may get lucky who knows.

As regards to spam - afaik - yes they are doing a minimum intake and recruiting now for a mid month training. Although this is currently unheard of/unconfirmed on the shop floor - it seems some of the prospects on this thread have been otherwise approached.

II didn't mean that Teletech was spam I meant that the post above(which has now been removed was spam)

I have also worked for Teletech too.

Great news if they are recruiting now.
