I'd say you'd struggle with none at all but a reasonable normal user of a PC type person would be OK. I don't regard myself as a techie -and I have done alright-although I've certainly learned a lot in the last year or soI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi all,
I am trying to complete the online application form but am stuck at the referee details stage. I have been at home raising my two kids for the past 4 years, hence have not been working. I cannot provide a last employer referee details. And before that I was self-employed and covering temp positions through agencies. What should I put down as my last employer? Myself? My contact at the agency?
Please help.Money Saver at Heart :j

I have just set through all the assessments that were e-mailed to me. Quick! Weren't they?
I passed the technical assessment but will have to wait for the results from the skills test. Is there anyone else who is currently going through the application process?

Recruitment is continuing for the broadband positions according to my boss -(who does the continuation training once the basic is done) so it may be a few weeks but you should hear
Sorry to ask, but I was just wondering what "continuation training" is?
You do basic training for three weeks then go into nesting and take calls. Its all a matter of picking it up as you go and asking questions if you're not sure of anything.
In my opinion, once the first 3 weeks is over, things change so often in the job, you learn as you work, no matter how long you've been there.0 -
Basically once you're out of training you're kept with your group a while longer with a supervisor overseeing. Yes you take calls but you are in a work group with extra support whilst on live calls. That's how the last group of nesters was treated anyway-when I joined the company you were "thrown in" a bit more quicklyI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Yes, we were thrown in much more quickly, and I well remember working for a week without any support at all when the chat system went down. The only difference is that we weren't constantly back to back calls in those days.
Its just basically a group of people who do the basic training together and stay together as a team with one team leader. Its the kind of workplace where you learn as you go, and get a bit more support in the beginning. The basic training teaches how to use the system and answer calls. The job itself teaches you the rest.:D0 -
Hi, I have recently applied for tele tech @ home, awaiting for telephone interview at the moment. I just wanted to know what the annual leave entitlement is and when it starts as i have a holiday booked in September? cant seem to find this info0
-
Holiday entitlement isn't immediate in the first year, you have to build it up over how ever many weeks you work. The amount you build up depends on how many hours you work. So if you've got a holiday in September I don't think you would have much time built up by then.
The best person to ask is your recruiter0 -

Make them aware when you are interviewed that you already have a holiday booked. Chances are, they will make allowances for it, and either start you in a later training group, or calculate future accrued holiday hours and cover it with those.0
