Another couple to look at - there's a great deal on Vera Wang's Lovestruck at Argos at the mo. £19.99 for a 100ml bottle (saving £50), putting it at the same price as the 30ml in Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/product/4487722

Also, Vera Wang eau de Parfum for Women - £29.99 for 100ml (half price).

Try testers elsewhere as presumably Argos won't have any.

Haven't tried them, but have read good reviews and may risk one for my mum and the other for my sis.

I got lovestruck when it first came out as love most of vera wangs perfumes and it's lovely

OH got me a LOAD of angel our first christmas together and I've never had the heart to tell i loath it :(

At the moment the main one i wear is Saint by Kat Von D but I have dropped LOADS of hints that I want glam jasmin by Micheal Kors for Christmas but I'm getting the impression it has fallen on deaf ears lol

Wrong! Read the whole thread and you’ll see I am not alone in disliking Chanel No 5.

I personally hate the Chanel ones & feel they are too old for me also!

    Totally agree,
OP has expressed that he's not going to ask his other half, others have expressed that perfume is different on everybody, and of course there is personal preference.
Wether anybody else in this thread hates No 5 is irrelevant because its not for them.
So OP, go big or go home.
Channel number 5 all the way!
Ps i adore the stuff, hubby gets it for me every couple of years, and i've worn it nearly 30 years.

The point was, you CAN go wrong with that & if wrong it's an expensive wrong

OP has probably bought the perfume already, but in case he's still looking for ideas, an assistant in Boots sprayed a sample of White Tea by Elisabeth Arden onto a piece of card for me, and I thought it smelt quite nice. Maybe not something I would wear myself, but I have bought some for my mother, and am hoping she likes it :)

To save money I almost always buy perfume online, but it may be a little bit late now?

Are the ones I replace. If I am given something I don't know, then I smell a tester before I open it. Then if I don't like it I re-gift:)

A box of samples, with the promise that you'll get her a full size of her preference for her birthday.

Or whatever daughter has chosen (Manchester Trafford Centre - you Do Love your lady!) along with the promise for daughters birthday will take mum scent shopping...
