  • Thank you for your input ladies. This is a surprise so I have no intention of asking her what she likes etc. I might as well just give her the cash and tell her to go and get her own which she would hate. To be fair, she’s a really easy going lady and I’m sure as long as it’s good quality she’ll love it.

There’s a few suggestions here and I am sure I will choose one of them. If any other ladies can tell me their favourite perfume by tomorrow (Tuesday 19th) i’d Be grateful.

    Thanks all and MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Jo Malone is lovely and tends to stay true (certainly to my skin).

Another wonderful brand is Carthusia but it may be a bit late to get them to ship for Christmas now as they are based in Italy.

I really like Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Intense, and wear it every day now. My second favourite is Katy Perry Killer Queen - totally the opposite end of the spectrum cost wise!

The idea of getting a tester bottle if you can is a good one, as if it's not opened she could return it if it's really not for her.

For a fresh every day perfume I like Clarins Eau Dynamissante. 😃
  • I don't know much about perfume but wanted to pick out one specially for my wedding last year. I tried lots of samples and I ended up with Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, so I recommend that one. I don't think I'm overly fussy about perfume but I was bought Tommy Girl a few years ago and did not like that.

  • Ghost. Only thing ever that doesn't make me want to throw due to it over powering. Very easy going unless buying darker/evening type bottles.

Nearly paid £34 for the very newest latest bottle of their scent in one pharmacy only to walk into Superdug to find a full set of Ghost Sweetheart available for £33!!!
Set included Perfume bottle, candle, body butter, nail varnishes, cosmetic bag etc in a box.
  • I can't stand Ghost - frankly I think it's overpriced and awful. What suits one doesn't suit all.
