I have received a Secret Santa parcel today, so thank you very much to whoever sent it, and Ionafan for organising it again this year. Very exciting and proddable bundles.

Healing vibes for your hand, LW, and get stronger soon vibes as well.

    Ahhhhhh, Dizzy. Too cute.

I hope you can put the results to the back of your mind until January, Fayolle. Impossible, but I hope it doesn't ruin the next few weeks just the same.

Voluntary thing done this morning. I really am enjoying it and as it's exceptionally busy in the run up to Christmas I know what I'm doing saves the permanent staff from falling behind on the bit that I can do. Exellent tutorials on YouTube (thanks Narco) and Access for Dummies is surprisingly easy to read and helpful.

Kitchen tidied. Devil Cat has got his appetite back after hardly eating for five days and is behaving as though absolutely nothing's wrong with him. We've pre-booked the vet twice and cancelled her twice over the past 10 days so he's astonishing everyone with his resilience. We're treasuring every moment, so please keep the *pain-free vibes* coming because they're working magic here.
    Better is good enough.
  • Stupidly busy day again. Only just sat down for the first time since 6.45 this morning - meals were eaten standing up in the kitchen, brews slurped on the go.

Having five minutes peace whilst the bambinos eat dinner. Friends over for dinner tonight which I have prepped in advance, also wrapped their presents and written cards. Wine chilling. Might even have one now. In fact, s0d it, I will

  • You go for it atb, I will be joining you in a bit. Some more work to do first.

And Dizzy the nativity plays are one of the things I really miss about having little ones at Christmas.

I am beyond tired. More work done on my project today, it goes to the big bosses tomorrow. Dont know how they will react but I feel like I have done the very best I can with it which is satisfying.

Out at a Christmas party last night and it wasnt a boozy night (or a very late one) but I am feeling the effects now. I was up at 6am to sort washing, empty the dw, empty bins and generally swish and swipe.

DH has been home because of the weather so he has moved the two impossibly heavy sofas in the LR and hoovered behind them. This gets him a gold star from me. The sofas are still not back in place yet but its a work in progress.

Right, I really need to do another hours paid stuff at least. Think I will find something fairly easy!

  • Gig decluttered. It was OK, despite a less than brilliant soundman, no room on stage because they hadn't bothered clearing it fully from the previous gig and it was stupidly crowded. Too cold to wait for the bus that came all the way home afterwards, so persuaded Himself to walk back from half way. Regretted it when I woke up this morning, though.

Dragged myself through another frantically busy day, eventually got the info I needed for the Carol Concert five minutes before I finished for the day and have a plan and a very, very large (A2 x 3) list of operations drawn up.

It would have been slightly easier had the Offspring of the Parish not been set a 'make a display model' for homework. I've already filled one shelf in the storeroom with creations and at a critical point of the lesson today, I was suddenly invaded by another class of OotP all brandishing their creations and wanting them stored, trampling over one another's, dumping them on my office floor, the desks, the fridge, the sink, the windowsill, trying to play with each other's creations, knocking them over with the resultant howls of rage - in the end, the teacher admitted that she laughed when she heard a full blown, posh grandparent voice from me - 'EVERYBODY OUT! ONE AT A TIME!' - drifting along the corridor and apologised for sending them all in at once.

Dozed off sitting up on the sofa from 5.30 - 7.00pm and am now hoping that Himself's promises of dinner are going to be proven shortly, as I am starving. Not looking at the kitchen, as it was in the usual Himself-In-Residence state yesterday.

I've got a half day tomorrow - I am NOT spending it cleaning the sodding kitchen again.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Good evening all.

Today has been less crap than yesterday. I finally sat down and wrote my Christmas cards which didn't take long as I don't actually send that many. I'm also flying once more.

Thursday Thrills - Bathrooms, cloakrooms and en suites

    Level 1
    Open the window
Take toothmugs etc down to be washed
Scrub the loo insides and out
Wipe handles and pull switches - don't forget the loo roll holder

    Level 2
    Scrub out bath and shower
    Shine splashbacks
    Polish taps
    Polish shower screens

    Level 3
    Scrub basin and taps

Work is still stressful but hey it's only work and it's almost Christmas. I'm looking forward to some time off. Ho ho ho.

    'ello, 'ello!

Been awake since 5am, mentally listing all the jobs left to do, but I'm very proud that I've remembered it's Christmas jumper day today at school and I found a flashing reindeer one (lights, ladies...flashing lights...) for Small in the sale yesterday, which is perfect! Tiny has a non-flashing version, which may be an issue, come switch-on time.

My flying list runs off the page, so I shan't type it here. Needless to say I'll be a busy bee today!

    Catch up later!

Dot has creepy crawlies... again!!! I want to cry.. I just got rid of them and now she has huge monsters again.. they are getting nuked tonight and OH can shower them before swimming tomorrow morning.. I know that sounds silly :p

DS3 up and loading the DW and has taken out recycling without kicking, prompting or nagging!!

I have barely slept.. the pain in my bones is too much and the really painful bits on my inner knee, elbows and base of my spine are even more painful than I thought possible.. my clothes being on them hurts.. they hurt so much I have to keep poking them to see if the endorphins are making it hurt less yet.. desensitising the sensitive bits.. I really wish I had a competent GP.. I'm so tired, it is exhausting and draining, as I'm sure many of you know so I know you will understand.

Ooh.. a wakey girl... back to the whining!
