I've spent 2 hours folding washing, fed the girls and made a cuppa.. OH got up with Twinkle who had spent 90% of the night keeping me awake so I had an hour of cold dozing so my headache is sworse than it was when I went to bed and my throat is sore which is usually a sure sign I'm getting a cold.. just what I need for Christmas.

    2x WM
    1x DW
    2x TD

OH is off 22nd, 23rd and 24th... which gives me more rage. I don't want him underfoot while I do last minute crazy.. I asked him to see if someone will swap so he works the 22nd/23rd and has 30th/31st off.. at least 1 would be really helpful.. I can work with that!

Twinkle off for a nap.. girls have swimming.. toodles..

Right - 30 minutes with a coffee and Christmas TV guide for me... so I can see how many good things I'll miss between Christmas and New Year. Hmm might treat myself to a TV guide for this week and factor in a few Christmas films as rewards between flying.
That's reminded me, I need Mr LW to sit down with the tv pages and mark what he wants recorded this week (we record everything we are going to watch, so as to ff through the ads). I just hope he finds something better than he has the last few weeks - some of the dross I have had to sit through has been just unbelievable!

Only one more card to be handed over - to Ronnie's folks, who will be delivering the little chap in a very short while. I did all the e-cards to owners of regular guests yesterday.

Bedlinen has been changed and washed, and the bungalow Dys0ned to remove the last of the Daisy-fur; so I think we're pretty much guest-ready. The space for Ronnie's crate is clear. He has his bed in the kitchen, moved to the bedroom at night; and his travel crate in the lounge with it's door standing open - this is his "chill-out" space where he can go for a rest without having to be away from us. :o It sounds weird, but it's what he likes, bless him.

LW .. my mothers muttlies have a 'safe space crate' as well.. Thomas hides his treasures in there as it is really his.. he shared it with his sister until she crossed rainbow bridge and he very occasionally lets someone else in .. the second one is a free for all and they have 3 baskets as well.. She has 6 yappers.. a Parsons terrier, 2 border terriers, a mini dachshund, a standard dachshund and a pug.

Swimming done, last session next week and they restart January 13th

WM on with swimming gear and TD on again too.

  • Awake properly by ten because the construction workers were still trying to reach the outer core of the planet - whatever they claim to actually be doing, it's making the entire house shake. Bloke loitered in bed until about 2pm. I'm giving him an easy ride about it for a change, though, as the headache I'd been nursing all afternoon and evening started turning into a really bad one with neck and mid back pain last night, so he stopped the editing he was doing to bully the muscles into relaxing for at least an hour.

Dozy wotsit went on to have one of his dreams when he eventually came to bed, but instead of it being a bad one with kicking, etc, he woke me up at about 4.30am asking me if I wanted a cup of camomile tea and 'kisses and cuddles'.

'zzzz....huh? Umm...no thank you. Are you even awake?'

    'Nope'

'Well, get back into bed and stop being a tw*t, then'

    'OK. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ'

He has absolutely no memory of doing this - and was a bit embarrassed, as per a bit of blushing and 'Ohhh. It's really not very Rock 'n' Roll in my subconscious, is it?'

Carrying on with the romance of my glamorous existence, I have bunged some caustic soda down the sink, cleared the remains of last night's disastrous cooking off the counter, washed up, sworn over the water spillages which have warped my butcher's block and it looks as though the hob needs dealing with before it becomes [strike]an issue[/strike] a health hazard again

Next after (hopefully) something to eat is the usual Saturday bathroom wipeover.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Ronnie's arrived. :T:T:T Little chap was carried inside safely ensconced in his crate, and on being let out, was straight out into the back garden for a wee. :D He's "talking" to me as I type! :D

I decided to make the most of this productive head (it might be gone tomorrow!) and went for a walk to hand deliver Christmas cards to neighbours and friends in the village - mine and mum's. Called at mum and dad's to drop off their cards and pick up a parcel. An old friend of theirs popped in and seeing me said' ooo are you walking?' and gave me a card to post as I passed the post box and a bevy of cards for her niece who lives across the road from me. So that's my good deed done for the day :D

I think I've had enough for today now - probably walked further in the last hour than I have in the past month..or two :o The next bowl of pots can wait for tomorrow!

Have a good evening everyone. Strictly Final eagerly awaited at this house :T

I have traipsed across to the next county to look at furniture and have bought a ‘telephone table’ with one drawer and a shelf to fill the spare place in my hallway, a console table would have been too big. Luckily they had two on the shop floor so I was able to bring it home.
Now I need to pop sawdust in the hutch and clear some of the tip up.

    Evening all

Loved the strictly final and so pleased at the result :D

Well, very pleased to say that the last blind is up and the spare room thoroughly cleaned and returned to orderly state :j

I have finished writing all the rest of the cards and just need DH to ring his 'skin and blister' tomorrow to get the new address for t'other one. The ones to post will go Monday and I'll probably stroll round locally tomorrow/Monday (depending on the weather) to hand deliver the local ones.

Tomorrow I need to give the kitchen a good clean. DH has been doing the washing up and kitchen clean afterwards this week, bless, but his standards are not 'quite' up to mine ;)

I will also have to pop along to Morries for a few essentials, and then I must crack on with some main meal batch baking - so looks like I'll be pretty busy.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all needing some
Hope you're all having a super weekend

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today. Enjoy having Ronnie LW.

Yesterday went ok except for DD's hair which was being prepped ahead of her wedding and is purple and grey now instead of blonde, so don't think she'll be going for that.

Tonight I'm going to the village carol concert but apart from that I don't really have any plans so will take inspiration from this thread. Cookies are already in the oven for DD and her fiance visiting later.

    Have bath
    Walk dogs
    Change bedding

    Have a great day everyone.
