Yesterday went ok except for DD's hair which was being prepped ahead of her wedding and is purple and grey now instead of blonde, so don't think she'll be going for

My hair is purple and grey now too! I had it all dyed purple some weeks ago and I am now getting the badger stripe coming through :o. I do hope she gets her hair exactly how she would like it ready for the big day.

By gum, it's nippy here this morning! Mrs Blackbird with a droopy wing was on the front lawn, when I opened the curtains, saying 'scuse me, you're late' - so I fed her before I fed me :D

I've got a bowl of pots soaking so my first MAD x 15 minutes of the day will be to WUDUPA + a laundry shuffle.

Back soon. Get your thermals on if you're going out and live anywhere near Roundtuit-land brrrr

I'm back - one bowl of pots duly WUDUPA; one laundry shuffle completed; rubbish in bin and one can + one plastic bottle rinsed and recycled. Next bowl of pots now soaking while I take 5.

I thought I would sleep well last night ( having walked to deliver cards yesterday) but nope :( I had a busy buzzy mosquito in my head going zip, zip, zip > starving polar bears zip > sinkholes zip > dad's seeing cardiologist on Tuesday so dad is grumpy - dad is probably worried sick as he is main carer for mum zip> mum probably worried sick too zip> friend's mum is dying :( zip > DF is having chemo, so is DS's uncle zip zip > what a bleep cancer is zip zip. It's never rainbows and fairies in the middle of the night is it? Although I suppose even they would eventually be annoying if you wanted to relax and sleep!

Right. Next bowl of pots it is. Timer to be set for 15 minutes and carols playing.

    Same here.
Had a lovely 36hr break with my brother, sil and mum which meant a frantic flower-arranging and church decorating on Fri am before we set off (brother lives near Basingstoke). Did a small "cracker" arrangement for them and luckily they loved it despite it falling over once in the car. Met step bro and wife for dinner yest and had good journey home.
Just written a list of tasks to be done between now and Thurs when we go to my mum.
Off to Carol service now then back to inspect worrying leak in conservatory roof.

Love to all, especially those missing loved ones, I keep thinking about my friend.

Baby fed... other than that I have 4 small girls to bath ready for school, 2 loads of washing to get through, bed sheets to change.. but my back is agony so that is likely to get left again :( .. DD2 is home later today so DD3 needs to clear bed space.. and I am spending the day knitting a sleeve for Twinkles cardy!

Mrs MP.. I have some white DK I'm not going to use will it be any use to you? It is slightly textured but not fluffy or anything. I just want space!

That's another bowl of pots WUDUPA :T and the next bowl full is soaking. Plus 2 plastic softener bottles rinsed and recycled - as there was 57 seconds left on the timer when I finished the pots :D

Oh my _pale_ I took the lid off a tupperware tumbler waiting to be washed  I'm used to poisonous miasma coming up from the kitchen sink plughole, but this was on a whole new level. Perhaps I've discovered a new form of penicillin :o Nothing else is remotely in that condition.... it must have been the lid that did it!!!!

Going to set the timer for another 15 minutes and falalala-laa through this next bowl of pots. Then it'll be coffee time :coffee:

Have emptied DW, ironed (and judiciously 'hung') and taken recycling and some rubbish out.
Sent frantic texts last night to DS and DSGF to make sure keys don not go ON console table but in drawer. Most of my furniture is 'donated' so having a new piece which wasn't even a flatpack is a novelty to say the least.
    need to
    wash pots in sink
    take out rubbish
    strip and remake my bed
    strip and remake DS's bed
    clean kitchen
    clean sh1ttip AKA dining room
write family cards as am meeting mum for church carol service later and she can hand deliver. (Am humanist so am attending 'under sufferance' as she puts it; am supporting ma because I am a dutiful daughter and because I know it gives her a little peace and comfort. Also I am a nice person:cool: and still send Christmas cards because I haven't quite worked that bit out yet.:o)

Valli, I'm going to a carol concert too today because I am a nice person and support my friends in the village. And because it feels Christmassy. I'm such a hypocrite! Glad you're happy with the console.

My list done except the dog walk. It was a thick frosty start but is now pouring with rain.

    Play time next then.

Been missing in action - apologies

cannot remember what I have been upto - STAIRS PAINTED and looking beautiful - carpet going down today - layer was due here at 11, got text to say more like 1pm - so frustrating as kids are off to panto with my parents (annual treat) and i was going to paper dining room wall can't do it now as carpet layer will be in way grrrrr - oh well will have to put feet up and have a couple of much needed hours of rest and relaxation .... yippee!!!

all shopping completed - just opened card from Nana with £100 which was a lovely surprise, tried to return but she insisted i treat the family as thank you for all my help (housework) and dogsitting, told her this is completely unnecessary but she said it made her happy to give me a little treat and she can afford to (she loves money and has pots of it lol)

very busy weekend - Friday night was my Xmas Bookclub Meal - fantastic night - we all bought some cooked food and had a beautiful xmas dinner - received a wonderful secret santa gift (beautiful throw and china mug), yesterday spent day with in laws, great fun day ending with a take away and xmas crackers

house is fairly straight - haven't started wrapping presents but that's mostly because living room carpet is being cleaned tomorrow so no point putting anything under tree

I have.. it is really expensive and time consuming.. it kills thousands of trees each year, the environmental impact of the chemicals used is massive.. so I make a charitable donation in the hope my money does some good rather than harm. I also use the argument that I cansay 'merry christmas' to those I see in person and the others I can email or message directly and anyone else really isn't that important, if they play that small a part in my life I clearly don't need to send them a card. E-cards are great for those who live overseas too.
