  • Massive price increase from next month for me. Only been with them a few months and will be moving on.

    £316.14 more a year!
    29.34 % more for electric & 61.56 % more for gas!

I know Ofgem removed the cap but that doesn't equate to as much of an increase as what we are being charged!
I don’t know about you but when I looked more closely at their email concerning the price increase, I noticed they had increased my projected usage by a huge amount, hence the price rise was even more apparent.

Why would I be using a third more electricity and a third more gas than I ever have before?

Worth checking the email you got to see if they’ve done the same to you.

I also received an email from OTM. My projection has gone up by £550.Which is high percentage change even if they have increased my projected usage. I will be transferring to Avro energy on a 12 month fix. This is £130 cheaper then OTM. Shame as OTM has excellent customer service.
  • Sister & BiL have just secured a cracking tariff from OFTM.
Their fixed tariff ends tomorrow, and they have been dithering for the past 7 weeks hoping to find a nice replacement.
But over the past 7 weeks, prices have just gone up and up.

They were offered the following 12M fix from OFTM 7 weeks ago at the start of their 49 switching window

    gas 3.0p/kWh / 24.5ppd
    elec 17.3p/kwh / 22.1ppd
No early exit fees. No smart meter required

They thought they'd missed it as it's been long gone from the comparison sites and the public facing OFTM website.

I suggested they look at separate suppliers, particularly the usual suspects as of late:

    Electricity:
Symbio - good unit price, but having read reviews (and my warning) Symbio were not for them
Neon Reef - very competitive to the OFTM offer, but that is 6up, 6down

    And they also needed gas.
    Zog - 4.25p/kWh / 26.25ppd

All of the above also come with £30-£36 early exit fees

But to their pleasent surprise, OFTM will still honour the tariffs they offered 7 weeks ago (or you can choose one of their present ones, which are far more expensive)

So they've signed up today, and already got their welcome pack as confirmation. Tariff starts tomorrow, fixed for 12M.

Separate suppliers are not always cheaper during these crazy times!

    Btw, Avro would have wanted:
(Not sure they would have chosen them in any event, as they live close to Avro Office, and the local vibe they said is not good)
    gas 3.6p/kWh / 17.85ppd
    elec 20.74p/kwh / 17.85ppd

My projected usage isn't much different so the 61% price rise is right.
    Shocking.
I knew it would go up but didn't think that much. Just disgusting tbh.

Called them back.  They claim to have sent an email about tariff changes.  They didn't.  But it was re-sent to myself.  What I note is they are taking off the standing charge so this may help people.

After two years of great prices from OTM, I'm switching to Sainsbury's.

I currently pay £80 a month to OTM.  From next month, this would rise to £116 if I stayed with them.

I have got a one year fix with Sainsbury's for £107 a month.  Still a one third increase though.  Sainsbury's have no exit fee, and I am guessing these huge rises might be reversed in around 6 months, so I will shop around again if prices should fall.

    Dreadful company to deal with.
Switched away, the switch didn't fully complete and the gas didn't switch.

They didn't tell me but carried on billing for both for 2 months.
(they told me to leave the DD for a refund)

In fact they told me it DID complete which was a lie!

I complained and asked for a refund as I was in credit massively. They said they would but only refunded a tiny bit. Still a few hundred in credit but they won't refund more?!

Horrible company to deal with and impossible to contact.
They don't reply to emails or tweets anymore.

Outfox the Market does offer the Warm Home Discount, however only to Core Group customers. At present, Outfox the Market is not planning to extend the Warm Home Discount to Broad Group customers.I can't get into Core group yet, I don't have much money, I can't even afford to buy a game, a training course. I have to download it all from u1337x. It's sad, but I hope that the situation with my income will improve

The tariff on the Cheap energy club comparison table does not exist once you go to the Out for the market website.  3 tariffs are listed on the energy club site (12, 18 and 24 month fixed but only the 12 month seems to be being offered.
