We NEED to be FRANK & HONEST here. This company has not change one iota. They have simply just changed their modus operandi.
They are STILL “picking off” customers. Just in smaller groups. Not the thousands they attacked before.
It is clear that there is some financial turmoil, given that they have gambled the family jewels, on the operation.
Which all means that they are under extreme pressure and the headwinds will make them use increasingly aggressive tactics.
Has no one ever thought - why are they so determined and bothered by a bunch of customers sharing information about them ?
Any other company with honest intentions would just ignor them and write them off as a bunch of cranks.
The reason why, is because they want this “Bunch of cranks” to STOP SHARING INFORMATION about them, so they can  press ahead unabated.
It is so important there is an INDEPENDENT focus group ( Outfox The Market Discussion Group ) in the background.
No one is safe. All customers are in the potential firing line. There have been so many people saying “you were right, we wished we had listened”.
People NEED to understand, their business model is FLAWED. They have positioned themselves right at the Rock bottom Of the market. This is not like their Fischer Future heater business where they can charge elderly customers the earth for essentially basic convector heaters. The heaters don’t even have an app. These are outdated lumps of metal. There are loads of people on eBay trying to off load them.
Energy is a commodity, not a product.
They tried positioning themselves at the expensive end of the market with Fischer energy. It was a flop and attracted few customers.
People need to understand the economics of all this.
The problem will only get worse.
You will hear all sorts of promises about smart meters at end of summer & apps in a few weeks. It is all pipe dreams. They don’t want smart meters because then they can’t cook the readings. They have been promising smart meters for over 2 years. It is all lies.

    Don’t worry people princess
    honestly just don’t worry.
a plotted and planned attack on MSE could never ever work.
the MSE people read FB and other sites, I’m telling you they as much chance of influencing MSE than getting voted #1 energy provider.
just last week (proof is screenshot on FB Outfoxthemarket discussion group) Bastian launched he’s own rival to MSE comparison lol
you guessed it every search brough OTM out on top
this was promoted as a comparison checker who agreed OTM were cheapest.
it was dragged down within 2 hours of getting both reported to the discussion group and reported to ASA lol

I left E.on because they were hassling me to get a smart meter. My switch to Outfox The Market was completed on time, the first two direct debits have gone out and the the first bill is accurate. So far so good.

I looked at Outfox the Market website today and noticed they weren’t doing any fix deals. Does anyone know if they are bringing them back?

Hammer_Time, today Outfox The Market have introduced Fix'd 20 13.0, which is more expensive than Fix'd 20 12.0, which was more expensive than Fix'd 20 11.0, which was more expensive than Fix'd 20 10.0, which was more expensive than Fix'd 20 9.0 (my tariff), but I warned everyone about rising wholesale prices in April!
  • So... Outfox are constantly getting more expensive - instead of outfoxing the market they're simply following it like sheep

Don't let rising wholesale prices put you off because Outfox The Market still have the cheapest variable £744/yr on typical use and the cheapest 1 yr fix £767/yr on typical use, therefore, both beat The MSE Big Energy Switch 15!

Clif seems extremely knowledgable regarding Outfox The Market. I can't think why that might be. On the other hand OFM rarely charge what customers expect. They use every excuse going to increase a persons bill. One of their favourites is to employ estimates instead of true consumption (and the estimates are always more expensive, never cheaper). Also their use of insisting photographs of meter readings is not industry standard. Can you imagine a frail pensioner trying to take photos of their meters ?

Surely all providers have to track wholesale prices to some degree, even the cheapest ones?

Which typical usage are you using? - going on Ofgem's medium usage their variable is £787 on average...

Also where I live, Avro have a cheaper 12m fixed tariff based on the industry average usage.
