I've checked and London is an anomaly, therefore, customers can indeed sign up for both Clean VE 3.0 and Pure Gas 2.0!

Talldave, Energylinx are incorrect because FIX'D 20 5.0 has high standing charges (FIX'D 19 5.0 is no longer available), therefore, please refer to OFTM website!

    That's one massive anomaly!
Is it not rather disingenuous that the OFTM website doesn't advise Londoners requesting a dual-fuel quote that they could in fact pay less by signing up for individual fuels?  I think it would be fair to say that customers would expect the deal for both fuels to be cheapest, and OFTM is simply profiteering from that expectation?

Energylinx are incorrect to list FIX'D 19 5.0 although their maths was correct. They show Eon as the cheapest dual fuel deal for an empty London property

Talldave, Energylinx are incorrect again because I said yesterday that Utilita are cheapest for zero usage with no standing charges, therefore, comparison websites are only a guide and Londoners would only benefit from separate OFTM supplies for very low usage!

So you call up to 5000kWh Electricity and 20000kWh very low usage? Let's be realistic, the separate fuels will be cheaper for the majority of Londoners.

I think it's fortunate that whilst researching the zero use options I've stumbled across OFTM's disingenuous pricing for London!

Your postcode is an anomaly because I've checked various London postcodes and Londoners would only benefit from separate OFTM supplies for very low usage or maybe you're mistaken (without revealing part of your postcode nobody knows)?

I thought pricing was by region - and I'm in the one called London?  Or are you telling me that OFTM price by street?  I've tried several postcodes.  When I get time later I will re-check a few to confirm that the anomaly is "London".

Londoners would only benefit from separate OFTM supplies for very low usage in E1 6AN for example and probably all London postcodes?

I've picked a few postcodes around South & South East London and there are definitely two different pricing schemes in use.  It gets boring checking after a while, but I've found SE19, SE25, CR7 and SM5 are cheaper on separate supplies for Ofgem Low, Medium and High usage figures (and well above those too). SE10, SE14, SE20 and SW19 are examples where dual fuel is cheaper.

So how many different pricing sub-regions are there??

The OFTM market website could easily be modified to flag to potential customers when separate supplies would be cheaper, but I bet that's not going to happen.

The 'London' region is not necessarily everything we may think of as London, especially south of the river...
