£787.91 saved this month - total so far £851.16
Realistically I think I'm going to have to lower my target for the year so that I'm not setting myself up to fail
Owen1991 I'm not including my LISA bonus for now as I'm tracking how much I can save out of my payslip but who knows...I may add it to my total for the end of the year if my saving goes awfully :rotfl:Save 12K 2019 #37 - £3,512.97 / £6,000 (July)

Managed a bit more this month, but still miscalculated so that both current accounts will incur small overdraft charges next month. Frustrating!Save £12k in 2026 #2 I have banked £865.15 in January against a £10k target The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2026 I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026 - currently £138.39 for January and a bigger target of £300 for February, with lots to stock up on
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread

I was thinking the same, I'm not including tax relief on my SIPP but feel like this is slightly different. Hmmm I'll have a think anyway.Mortgage Start - £188,714 | Current Mortgage - £184,118 | Overpayments Made - £8250 -
I'm including LISA bonus, interest on bank accounts, cashback etc despite those all being "free extra" money... every £1 I get through those sorts of things gives me an extra £1 to put towards the house deposit, which is the big savings goal at the minute, so for me it feels right to do so.
(But not pension relief on the SIPP, because there's not much I can do with that for the next 50 years).
I guess it depends how close you are to a house purchase as to how relevant the LISA bonus is to your savings goals - if it's a "maybe in 10 years" probably a lot less relevant than it is to me?Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Nothing saved this month unfortunately and I anticipate not much saved next month either - but then should pick up as my husband will start paying in some money to my savings account to help out! It's slow going at the moment.Biggest Comp Wins: Tour of Vietnam 2015 | Baby Rawr_ was born 16/03/20!0
