Well today one of the teens has had a positive LF. So off for yet more PCR tests 🤦 Honestly couldn't make this up!!! I almost wish we had all had it, then at least we wouldn't have this dragged out, do we need to cancel stuff going on.

Had to cancel the carpet fitters, and my giving blood appointment......if one of us is positive, will have to cancel the decorator who is coming to paint the stairwell next week. If I am positive will have to cancel the next uni open day and the well paying tenancy clean I have booked.

Not to mention all the work I will lose. And no government help anymore. I have been more impacted by covid this past month than any other month! If it's not me cancelling then its clients whose kids are positive cancelling.

    Am super annoyed right now.

Before the end of September none of us had had to take a PCR test. We have all had three now 😱🤦

Sorry C19 is impacting your wage and your plans. It's horrible when it's out of your control. Hope you all recover quickly...

Well teen was positive, but decorator is due the day he comes out of isolation so all good there. I was negative again! And at least the teen can hide in his room, making him eat up there as well 😂 Girl is still negative as is hubby. He went into the office today, and me and the girl are off to another uni open day in sat (negative LF tests permitting!) This time in London. But she seems pretty determined to go to the one we saw last weekend. Proximity to the beach swung it 😂

  • Well the girl lasted 40 mins at the London uni. Hated it on sight! I had gone to my friends who live about 5min drive away, so she didn't even go to the talk and just left and walked to meet me at my friends. So a bit of a low key day, but so nice to see my friend and her daughter, it's been quite a while.

It has led the girl to rethink her choices, I think she is much more determined to apply for arts unis/colleges, rather than unis that offer everything. Also the course she wants to do has changed (still the disapline she wants, but a different aspect). So found another arts college that does it, open day in Jan, so she will probably apply before we see it, but she really really wants to get into the one she saw last weekend. We have the one in Cornwall and one in Bristol booked, the Bristol one is a full uni, but we may as well go and look. It does mean that if she is applying to unis that are all in the south. I tried to interest her in some northern ones (I studied in the north east) but although she showed interest in Leeds arts, they are not running open days which is very frustrating.

Today I need to do the online shop then go to the DIY store to pick some bits up. We have a broken toilet seat, and I need paint for the decorator later this week. Covid seems to have run its course here too now. The boy is out later this week.

  • Hi @Drawingaline congrats on the car and how exciting with your daughter and looking at Uni's. Hope she finds the right course and location that works for her.

Hopefully you've now had your share of crap with the covid. We too seem to have avoided it so far. I should'nt say that outloud :#

Spent £150 on DIY stuff at the weekend. Luckily was all budgeted for. Decorator is here tomorrow, paint all ready.

Been a couple of busy days in job 1, boss is off next week so need to cover, but it isn't month end so shouldn't be too bad. Am off to Cornwall with the girl at the end of next week, will feel like a mini holiday!

I bought a mug and a tree ornament in the ynab merch sale, free shipping from the US, bargain.
