Email sent to solicitor. Nothing back. I just need to know if she has the stuff from the vendor. Our sale is progressing really quickly and atm we have barely started on our purchase 😡🤯 but we are selling to a BTL so they won't hang around and I know our vendors are moving back to mainland Europe so probably want to start sorting stuff out.
Basically any query thrown up I will be saying 'will an indemnity policy get around that' and just pay for it 😂 honestly buying property in this country is bonkers. No the council have not noticed the satellite dish that we put up in 2009 which replaced the one that looked like it was put up in about 1985, but because there was no permission asked we need to pay £70 'just incase' they eventually notice it 🤦 am not even going to get involved in back and forth, if it costs an extra £500 or so in useless policies I just don't care any more!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Going to call her tomorrow and leave a message I think. All the working from home isn't helping. When we bought and sold our flat at least an assistant answered and tools message. I trust that more than a voicemail tbh. I think I am a bit old fashioned. Even in 2009 when we bought this house I didn't email anyone!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5

In non house news, the girl applied for a job with the local golden arches restaurant on Friday, had a phone interview on Monday and got the job! She just needs to reschedule the zoom welcome meeting as it's slap bang in the middle of a college lesson, but I am so pleased for her. I worked for the company, progressing to assistant store manager (although not in this area, up north and then further south) it's where me and Mr DAL met 😉😁 I always found it a fun place to work with excellent training and opportunities. I am so pleased for her and also proud that she did it all herself. It does mean she won't be able to volunteer at the charity shop anymore, but the boy is 15 so will see if they will take him instead. Just need to think of someone to give him a reference. His tutor probably will, and he will adore it, he LOVES chatting to elderly people 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5

Such a ridiculously stressful evening trying to set up the weird ones new phone. Not assisted by husbands hatred of android and Google. (He has only had iPhones for the past decade) I feel like I have aged a year in three hours! Not helped by a huge row with the boy.
I have managed to get out for two decent walks the past couple of days. Which I enjoyed but my legs are regretting it a bit now. Still gutted I didn't get a chance to so the sponsored walk, so have decided that I am going to 'train' to do the half walk instead of the quarter one I signed up to this year. I am not booking into one yet, I am holding off booking anything tbh, not convinced anything will be going ahead.
So I am in a foul mood today. Still no update from the solicitors, I am now just assuming that they have received the pack and are busy sorting enquiries, because if it still hasn't been received I think it will all collapse, but I just need to know either way. So frustrating and I know that answering endless chasing emails slows down the actual work which is why I left it three weeks at the beginning, but I just need to know it has been received.
Banging headache from stress, anxiety and shouting.
On a plus, diet going well and I hadn't put as much weight over August (I basically are what I wanted for a month) and I am feeling that it is going well this week.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
Well diet was going well, gone to pot today. But I did another decent walk this morning which helped blow the cobwebs away and had a good night's sleep which helped too.
Tomorrow I have two jobs then think I will go for another walk before collecting the smallest.
Still nothing from the solicitors, am just keeping everything crossed that they actually have the stuff and searches are underway and at some point I will eventually receive the bloody fixtures and fittings form! And that it will all work out and we will get to move.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
So this morning the move manager from the EA rang in a flap. She hasn't been able to raise any response from my solicitor in three weeks and she also hasn't got back to any of my emails and voicemail messages. Vendor is getting very agitated and I don't blame them tbh. She told me to call the switchboard and ask to speak to her superior to try and get any kind of response. She was so upset as they recommended her to me and she said she has dealt with her for a few years and she is one of their go to solicitors because she is so reliable.
So I decided to ring her direct line for one last attempt and she picked up! So contract pack received and searches should be back on Tuesday, so then enquiries will be raised, she won't get anything raised until then. And then said she is on holiday next week 🤦🤦🤦😡 she has cover so I will be making a right pain of myself until something is sent to the vendors solicitor. She did send the EA an email, and the vendors solicitor and apologised for losing the fensa cert we took in, if it's needed she said they would cover the cost of a duplicate. Then I finally received the title plan and the bloody fixtures and fittings! Apparently there won't be any dustbins 🤷 the vendors are moving abroad 😂 tbh, I am not making a fuss about any of it, just going to keep on about the enquiries and pray something gets done next week!
And we received our mortgage offer in the post so she should have got theirs today or Monday. So at least I have a proper reason for ringing and emailing next week.
I absolutely hate buying and selling property. And this is the first time we are doing it simultaneously. If this all works, we will have one move left in us, and that will be when we are too old to manage a three story house!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
How frustrating with the solicitor. That is worthy of a complaint I would say. Hopefully it goes smoothly from here,3

Omg, solicitor has just emailed again. Searches now due back 22nd September 🤦😡 I give up 🤯 she did say she will try and raise some enquiries over the weekend to send to the vendors solicitor, but I am ready to cry. We had a complete chain on 21st July, to not have searches returned until 22nd September is bonkers 😱 at least she emailed I suppose. But that means next week will be another dead week while she is away as anyone covering is going to do the bare minimum.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4
