Amazing news though on the GCSEs results, I totally agree it is who you know and not what you know at times. It’s worth starting the networking now and seeing where it takes her. If she’s that set on her career path, it may be worth her her reach out via linked in and seeing if anyone was willing to be a mentor?
his lordship has done similar with a couple of the scouts down here, Teaching them how to do knots and morse code with a discussion about how he uses them in his daily work led to a couple of them being very interested in his industry, one in particular has gone on to train with the company dh works for and he ended up on the same ship as dh a couple of times. the other keeps in touch but was more interested in the engineering side and is still deciding what route to take.2 -

I nudged him this morning and he came through. It's been sent on to the lender, bit annoyingly they are still only processing documents from last Thursday 😱 so I can't see it being looked at until after the bank holidays at the earliest! Broker said they hadn't heard re the valuation, but I doubt that was sent in until the 17/18, so it's either in a pile waiting to be looked at, or it is fine and no issues. I am optimistically thinking it's the second option 🤞shoppingobsessed2020 said:Can you not just write the letter and get him to sign it? The kind of work she is interested in is much more Instagram based 🙄 she basically wants to do either proper fashion photography or concert photography. 🤦 I have warned it's probably a little like acting, 5% make it the rest don't. She wants a subscription to Vogue and some photography magazines, we have found a local amateur photography club locally, and she needs to enter some photo competitions for experience. Having basically done nothing for 5 months she needs to really work at making this happen. I have told her to become best friends with the textile, music and drama students and tout her talents for free 😂shoppingobsessed2020 said:Amazing news though on the GCSEs results, I totally agree it is who you know and not what you know at times. Another week. Was planning on taking the kids out today. It's raining again. Tomorrow is supposed to be awful so putting off shopping until then. Smallest has asked to go to the bookshop so will take the little two to town. The wierd one needs some new t shirts and I have £40 in clothing. Must get the smallest to try on his uniform too.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

I'm hoping we've had the worst of the weather now, need some dry time! I can't imagine that its fun having the kids indoors all day when the weather is horrific!

It's been a long 5months tbh. This month money is tight as frantically saving for moving which isn't helping.bd80s said:I'm hoping we've had the worst of the weather now, need some dry time! I can't imagine that its fun having the kids indoors all day when the weather is horrific!
Town was enjoyed and the small two got pick and mix so we're happy. Bought some t shirts and the smallest bought two books with his own money.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -

So I sent our solicitor an email in Monday, just asking how things were going as we wait for our mortgage offer. She got back to me today with the contract pack and enquiries from our buyer, then said she hadn't heard from our sellers solicitors at all 😱 so I contacted the EA who said it was sent to our solicitor on 03/08!!!! So basically three weeks ago. Am a bit annoyed now. Will sort our enquiries out for our buyer and get them posted out, so she should receive them on Tuesday. Hopefully we should receive our mortgage offer and stuff from the sellers by the end of next week.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2
