Plumber turned up with an invoice at the weekend. Apologised for the cost, it was about £100 less than I thought it would be 😂 I paid, had to 'borrow' from Xmas which is £300 down now. Annoying, but not the end of the world right now.
Nothing heard about anything. Until we get an actual mortgage offer I don't see the rush to chase anyone. Sales progressor will be back in today, but I am sure there are other sales closer to completion that need attention first. Decided that I will chase next week if nothing has been heard. But Santander are still only looking at stuff sent last Tuesday and all my replies were sent on Wednesday. Why does it take so bloody long!!! I will check with the solicitor later this week to find out if the searches have come back yet, and I haven't had anything from the sellers like fixtures and fittings and I want to know what we may need to buy.
I was paid for my SE at the weekend, it's set aside for the mortgage, I get Dla and child Benefit tomorrow which means I can clear the credit card (cash flow is a little light atm due to having nearly 3k tied up in savings accounts) my furlough pay will come in on Thursday. This is being set aside with the child benefit to pay the solicitors bill.
Seiss grant is open today. I am not going to apply even though my income is still slightly down as it would appear the mortgage companies don't like it. Annoying, but I should be back to normal once all the kids are back at school. I have had to keep some time back incase there is an issue fulfilling the smallests echp in September.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
oo its a nuisance when its all in a bit of a limbo and you just want things to be moving! Fingers are all crossed for you though2

Omg, lender now wants an actual letter from my employer that they are paying me 100% while on furlough! My payslips show this??! I know they will do it, but just more delays. I earn £480 a month from this job 🙄 so wish we had gone for a cheaper house so could do it just on husband's wagesDebt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Ah @Drawingaline don't let the mortgage company get you down. Speak to your employer for the letter and just keep positive thoughts going. I'm sure it will work out the way you want it to.

How annoying but it’s a small hoop to jump through compared to what they could be asking.2

Boss hasn't sent through the letter yet. At least I am not in a huge company so can just call him direct, but I don't want to nag as know he is busy. The other director is on holiday, back next week so could get him to do it. Will drop the one in the office another email tomorrow morning I think, and ask if it's possible to do it before the weekend. If I knew the mortgage company wouldn't then wait another 7-10 days before they looked at it I would be less stressed!
Although my FB memories have just flagged up my status from 11yrs ago which was we didn't have a mortgage offer 19 days before planned completion 😱😂 and I had no issue then thinking we wouldn't get the money 🤷 but did make me smile!
Otherwise nothing else to report financially or housewise. Not bothering to bug the solicitors until we have the mortgage offer,t I will be all over it!
But in other news the girl stormed her GCSE results 😁 cost us £90. One 6, the rest were 7+! Still waiting on her btec but we know she got a 7 equivalent in the exam so counting it as one now. She has her college admission appointment next week. Exciting! Spent some time chatting to her about what she wants to do after A levels, she has a very definite idea, but it is going to be a tough path. She needs to really network and put herself out there and uni may not be the best way.
McDonald's for tea, her choice. Got her a choc cake too.
I have two extra jobs tomorrow, need to pay for this possible move somehow!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Can you not just write the letter and get him to sign it? That’s what I do for my boss with all the various letters she has to do.3
